2 mins later great goal from Danny letting fly on the turn from inside the D and I don't think a proper keeper would have got near, great goal. Unlike the U's they did have a proper keeper on the bench - he'd made half a dozen appearances in goal this season. I though we were very flat today, apart from the first 15 minutes Harrow looked the better team. Even when they went down to 10 men, you couldn't really tell. I suppose points on the board are what matter, and we've got them.

A glance at the table shows
C Dartford 39 27 5 7 96 43 +53 86 2 Sutton United 40 20 9 11 61 43 +18 69 3 Kingstonian 41 20 7 14 72 68 +4 67 4 Boreham Wood 41 19 8 14 51 42 +9 65 5 Aveley 39 19 7 13 78 60 +18 64 6 Hastings United 41 18 9 14 68 55 +13 63 7 Tonbridge Angels 39 18 7 14 67 62 +5 61 8 Wealdstone 39 16 13 10 61 59 +2 61 9 AFC Hornchurch 40 16 12 12 48 43 +5 60
Now Hastings, Borehamwood and Hornchurch cannot catch us - 2 points in the last 2 games will prevent Wealdstone, Ks and Tonbridge catching us, and one point will also pretty well make certain unless we lose the other game 10-0 and those teams get big big wins. The only team who has a realisitc chance of overtaking us now is Aveley, although they have to play Tuesday/Thurs/Sat - ending with a possible winner takes all tie at home to Tonbridge.
The reality is we are in the play offs. Almost definitely 3rd. Probably 2nd in all reality whilst the others battle it out of places.
Looks like a home tie on 27th

I thought we started brightly but after the first 15-20 minutes, it was bit lacklustre and we appeared to invite pressure on ourselves.
Still, we got the point (great goal) and its great to find out that we are now in the play offs with a couple of games to spare. Lets hope that the pressure is off a little now and we can open up and play and get the points needed for second place.

Looks like a home tie on 27th Agree, looking at the remaining games, its going to be Tough for Stones or Tonbridge to win all 3 and my guess is neither will do it, they could draw on Thursday and knock each other out. Three of the four will be Sutton, K's will beat Maidstone to secure their place. Aveley will get the 4 points I think they need as their GD will see them through. This leaves just one place and I think BWood will take it with a win over T&M next Saturday. 27th: Sutton Vs Bwood and K's Vs Aveley ??

Well done to Dos and everyone in the team for getting us into the play offs!
Whatever happens next (and I'm optimistic) I'd like to say it's been a real pleasure being a U's fan this season.
Shame Tonbridge slipped up. Yeah, real shame..

Commiserations to Waltham Abbey, who were relegated today - looking set to join them are Margate who need a miracle to stay up. As for the other 2 relegation slots, any 2 of Bognor, Maistone, Ashford and Carshalton -with the Bobbins only having Wealdstone to play who may well need the 3 points to make a play off, they could be in serious trouble. I'd guess at Bognor and Bobblins occupying the other two spaces

If we win at Cray and Aveley lose or draw at Billericay then 2nd place is guaranteed.

Nice day out. Shame there weren't more Harrow fans, and can we have a beer festival too please?

I got there early , so that I could enjoy a small taste of the beer festival, and echo the thoughts of quite a few who'd like one at GGL ( although, without naming names, I know someone who'd like it to be a Vodka Festival instead lol ). What did you try Vern, I didn't catch you in there the same time as me ?
