The following people have expressed an interest in playing in the match against the Colts' Managers on the evening of Friday 14th May. In no particular order they are:- Paul Tate Neil Medler Nick Williams Alan Tate Dave Rayner Paul Loughlin (but who will take the pickies) Stewart Howe (+1 maybe) Mark Donohue Gaz Evans Andrew Youngman Bob Hasler Hon Sec Belly Paul Chalmers John James Dan Taylor Peter James Me (if I recover from a cracked foot) I make that 18 or poss 19 so we can have roll on roll off subs. In some cases literally. I hope I have included all those who want to play but if you read this and don't see your name email me at anthony.henderson-smith@sky.com and I will add it to the team. We do have offers to supplement the back-up team which I will finalise at the SSCF. I will email all players next week for more details about your preferred positions etc and with some more information about the event.

I hope St John's will be there BTW I have never played football on a full size pitch and my last ever game was over 20 years ago

I wouldn't worry Stewart. Last year when I first came off I thought it must be nearly half time as I was dead on my feet. Nope, twenty minutes in!
I only play 5-a-side now and last year was my first time play a 'proper' game since I turned down Horsley 3rds nine or ten years prior.
The fun part is trying to play the offside trap with three others you've only just met and obviously haven't practised.

You lasted twenty minutes Rax, I'll be lucky to last twenty seconds. I haven't played 11 a side for at least 25 years, five a side at least 15!! Not St Johns', full paramedic ambulance for me Simon!!

Hope it's as good an evening as it was last year, if not better!! Nah you were fine. It was my fault for being 20 yards too far up the pitch! For some unexplicable reason I decided I was a right wing-back. No worries there except I was too tired to track back once we'd lost the ball.

Tony, Belly asked for +2 to be added to his name. His brother and the son of a friend want to play.
Cheers!
