I think part of the reason for this East West divide is Truro City in the Zam Prem. We think we have it bad, imagine the journey from Truro to Lowestoft!!!

I was told at the SSC final that Grays wouldn't get a spot in the Ryman. Seems it was true! As for the new grounds, Bury looks a tidy little setup. Cover behind both goals and AA has already confirmed what I suspected drinking wise. Lowestoft looks to be an old style NL ground. It is farking miles away though, some 4hours on the choo choo. Greek would have to bring a huge supply of jelly for that one! Big stand, some terrace & that's it apparently. Folkestone looks reasonable, with cover on 3 sides. Concord is basic (but then again so was Ashford). And it's in Canvey, which instantly loses it muchos points. Amusingly though their nickname is 'The Beach Boys'. I'll lay a fiver they run out to "Wipe out".....

Lowestoft is not a game i expect to be able to see much of There is another brewery in Bury St Edmunds that isn't GK, it's in a pub too. I'll be aiming for that.

Two new ones for me, Lowestoft & Bury. When I went to Concord I thought I was hallucinating when I saw a building moving past the ground. Turned out to be the superstructure of a ship sailing past!

Well bearing in mind that most away grounds were new for me this season (apart from the most local ones), I look forward to even more new places (even those in Canvey!).
As for breweries, I am not the greatest real ale expert and no doubt somebody here can put me right but might Lowestoft not be in Adnams country (I know Southwold is only up the road relatively speaking). I do hope so as a nice pint of Southwold before the game would go down a treat. Along with a Jolly hat trick!

But if you want ale that's even more local, try Green Jack (brewed in the town itself).

They did a fantastic Green Jack orange wheat beer in their clubhouse when I was there in October - I think they're planning to keep it for next season.
