I suggested just after we signed RJ that his best years might be behind him. I recall that this notion was dismissed by a certain club official!
I think it's also possible that we've yet to see the best of him. As others have said, you can't fault his workrate and he has terrific ability for a player at this level. The problem may be that he's not been getting the service. He's not blessed with great height or pace, and so needs the right ball played through to him. It doesn't help that when he receives the ball in the opposition penalty area he's immeditaely surrounded by a posse of hulking defenders.

I suspect if anybody is concerned about his goals return so far this season is RJ himself. He has on occasion looked a frustrated figure, no more so than on Saturday when he was waiting for a tap in but never got the opportunity do so.
He's certainly got far more to his game that scoring goals though & as stated elsewhere, he has set up a number of goals for his team mates.
Football is a team game, it doesn't matter who scores as long the chances are taken. The more Jolls get the more he will score but it is good not to be reliant on one player to put the ball in the net and it is why as a team U's are so dangerous in the final third of the pitch.
Keep going Jolls, your attitude is superb.

Thought his hold up play when we got it to his feet today was exceptional. Top class performance, shame he couldn't take the chance in the first half from arguably the move of the match.

To be fair to Jolls, he's getting in decent positions it's just the finish that's lacking. It'll come though. Guys like him don't lose it overnight....
