Apologies in advance for the vagueness of this post but I'm sure someone knows the answer! Now, I might actually have the fixture wrong but I'm trying to find out the date when we played what I think was a Surrey Senior Cup match against (again I think) Chipstead. I also think we lost (possibly 2-3). The best guess I have at the date is December 2005 and it was probably a Tuesday!

Thanks for that Paul - big help indeed.
This is definitely a case of the U's coming to the rescue!

Sorry for dredging up a bad memory dontpanic!
However, and this is hard to admit, but it's the only time I was ever pleased to see the ball in the back of our net as it got me off the hook.
You see I find it impossible to leave any football match early but that night I'd agreed to meet my now girlfriend in at 10pm. I needed something to happen at 2-2 because if it had gone to extra time I'd have been in trouble!
Of course now its five years later and I need to make sure I get the date right - this was the only clue!

Oh God what a horrible evening. I've blanked it out; all I remember now is that I was on the gate!

I was doing a course in Sutton, so missed the game. However I saw it was 2-2 and headed round expecting ET.
Just as I got to West Sutton station, there were a load of people coming the other way.
I didn't even have to ask the result, I knew we'd lost.

That was also the season we lost to Chippenham in the FA Cup, wasn't it? And Uxbridge in a trophy replay at home? Great times....................[/sarcasm]

Chippenham was possibly one of the most miserable FA Cup ties I've ever seen.

I have never been more smashed after a football game (six hours there, six back thanks to replacement buses meant plenty of time to drink).

Don't get me started on Chippenham away...
That was definitely my worst trip.
Got held up in that accident on the M4, then pulled over by the Wiltshire Constabulary whilst trying to make up time. After the further delay I was running up to the turnstile when I heard the cheers for Chippenham's goal and we all know how the rest of the game panned out.
Dire
And I had a stinking cold!

Thankfully I missed the Chippenham disaster but saw both games against Uxbridge as well as Chipstead.
