the one good thing is our goal difference over tonbridge is big sothat might come into the reckoning yet. i think if we beat lowestoft and draw with tonbridge we will be in a strong position.

like what delboy said i'm more concerned with Tonbridge than Lowestoft! so a draw at the weekend and a win at Tonbridge will do nicely!

That's the type of game you have to win to become champions! One single game wins a league, but with Lowestoft slipping up at Tooting, that was a big win. Dundo was awsome and they just could not handle him. It ws a good all round performance though and everyone played their part well. A real team win. Lowestoft can complain about Crouch, but the officials at this game were absolute toilet as well. How on earth did Dundo get booked for diving??? Did the ref not figure out that Dundo is a player that does everything to stay on his feet and win the ball??? Tom Davies gets booked for winning the ball cleanly??? Still, inspite of their incompetance we rose above it and won. Support was great! This felt like a big win and we wnt that feeling again Saturday. The players looked like they can't wait for the weekend. Well done one and all. Keep it going! Thought it was a dive and a deserved booking. Sadly this has crept into all levels of the game. He also got away with an earlier one which the referee was unimpressed with. Thought Davis was a little unlucky as he won the ball and kept his feet on the ground, there was no dangerous element to the tackle. Can see why the ref did it though as slightly 2 footed (not as bad as their 6's challenge later on which was also booked).

The first one he looked to have been caught, slightly, the second one he was stretching for the ball and lost his footing. He certainly didn't go looking for the ref went he went down & no other Sutton player appealed. The reaction of the crowd (who at times appeal for anything - embarrasingly so) may have influenced the ref.

Another good solid performance against one of the better sides in the division. As others have said, it was always going to be difficult to break Hornchurch down, and it was obvious that their gameplan was to sit tight at the back and rely on the breakaway. Well done to our defence for not giving them a real chance to do that. Indeed our defenders have come along way in the last weeks, after being criticised for some of our performances at the back they are as solid as they were at the begining of the season. Incidently the only goal we've let in over the last 4 games was a penalty.
Dundo is showing the form that made us all love him 3 years ago. Did well for both his goals, I certainly look forward to the replay of his 2nd. And I begining to sway to the opinion that Griffiths is our golden signing.
Not a classic game, but a decent and professional job well done.
Luckily my voive didn't die on me. Oh and top marks to the Hornchurch supporters as well, they also made some good noise.

I'd attribute the recent defensive displays to switching Kes & SD. Kes is in his favoured position and SD had been superb at right back. Both SP & Ebs have also been very solid and with KM playing an anchor role in midfield the team have stopped conceding.

Tough game as expected. Very bitty first half, very competitive. Hx were solid, worked hard but lacked any sort of real threat up front. They probably shaded the first half, however we showed last 10 mins that if we could get some momentum going, there were chances to be had. Second half was much the same really and as time wore on I genuinely couldn't see where a goal was coming from as we'd created very little in the way of problems for their back 4. Then Dundo popped up & scored with what was probably our first really good chance and it was a different game. They had to open up a little more and away we went. Belter from Dundo for the second. Cracking strike and then a thumping finish from Leroy for his first at the death. 3-0 flattered us a little and was a touch harsh on them, but we did enough to deserve the win overall I think. Massive result down the road at Toots as well. Means we're now 13 ahead of the Trawlerboys having played 4 more. A win saturday could really give them a mountain to climb. On a final note, a lil' mention for their fans. Decent turn out and made some noise. Nice to see some oppo colours at ours for a change. Erm, yes. Because he's got 8 in 3!

Just read the match report on the AFCH web-site. That person definitely needs help.

They used to make even Gandermonium look fair & balanced! ;D EDIT - And having had a read of last night's effort, I can see they've not improved since I last bothered! Awful!

We've been called a few things over the years but 'banshees'? Ha! As for a second booking for Craig - perhaps they should look at Paul's photo's to see how close he came (or rather didn't) to us. Come on you Banshee's !!!

Some of the postings on their forum are on the stupidly hilarious side. See anything by Eastside Urchin for example.

The 'Sutton Away' thread that descended into a discussion on algebra was brilliantly surreal. And then it was topped off by that Eastside Urchin just calling 'em all a "bunch of nonses". Made I larf. Certainly one of the best threads I've seen on a forum in a while.

I'v just called for the doctor. I've split my sides laughing at the so-called match report from Hornchurch referred to above. What a load of absolute toss. Tony Middleton, whoever he is, is an embarrassment not just to his club but football in general with that appalling summary.
As for digs at our gate, let's see how many they get (less us lot of course) in the return. And did they really expect a brand new prog to accomodate their handful of fans? Excuse my French here but foo off Middleton.
