SB:
a/ that comment was made tongue in cheek
b/ no, I was unaware that Jane was ill
c/ I have had to, reluctantly, turn them away in the past, because when the car park is full, its full and that has been outside of the cricket season. Was I to know Chris was not staying, my comment, again, tongue in cheek was based on past issues? At least Chris doen't yell abuse at you when you turn her away, like others do.
We can always arrange to save a space for Jane & Chris if they require, all they have to do is ask - I am not a mind reader.
As for being a jobsworth - I'll just leave the cp to fill up so that nobody can get out of it at the end of the game, then watch the sparks fly. So, before you have a go at me I suggest you research the history of that particular problem on match days.
It is comments like yours & the behaviour of others in and around the ground over the past few years that have been a major reason why I tendered my resignation yesterday.
As you well know, the stewards are volunteers and I for one have had enough of the abuse, accusations and general lack of respect shown by a small but none the less significant minority who regularly visit GGL & I am not talking about the away fans, who in the main are generally fine.
BTW - I don't need to confirm anything with Millsy. Jane has known me for probably 30 years and knows she can approach me at anytime.
