Roll up roll up ladies & gents!
It's time for THE GREAT FOLKESTONE TITLE PARTY EXPRESS! WOO WOO!
Plan is to depart from Sutton on the 08.33am service & change at Norwood Junction to take us to London Bridge.
From here, we will then take the 09.19 to Folkestone Central and will arrive at our destination for 10.49am. This should then give us ample minutes to locate a public house for refreshments in time for opening.
Come one, come all.
And bring your drinking hats.

I'd definitely recommend getting off at Folkestone West. The high speed train stops there.
There are local pubs down on the main road, but you're definitely welcome at our clubhouse "Stripes" (you'll see the irony of the name when our team runs out). Frankly we could do with your money, as we're still paying off our CVA, and the beer is VERY competitively priced. Also big screens in Stripes. Definitely good for a 4 hour session.
Out of the station, down the road (probably shown as towards M20), turn right at the traffic lights and 100m down the road is Stripes (& the ground). You don't need to go anywhere else!!

I'll be at Sutton for the 8:33 train if that's what we've settled on.

I was thinking of getting the 10.19 off London Bridge (arriving 11.45), but if I can haul myself out of bed early enough I might join you lot on the 9.19.

Why aren't you going from St Pancras? You get there earlier giving more time to drink at Stripes!

High speed from St Pancras will stop at Folkestone West, stripes bar/ground is only a 5 minute walk from there.

Why aren't you going from St Pancras? You get there earlier giving more time to drink at Stripes! Because getting to St Pancs is a pain in the arse from Sutton. You either leave half hour earlier to get into Folkestone the same time as the route we're going, or if you leave 5 mins later, you change loads and arrive 15 minutes later. And HS1 is more expensive.

yeah HS1 adds on abit of money to the route, im sure if you just take the route Taz has said, it will be easier. But Stripes should be open when you get into Folkestone, you might see me in the corner somewhere after 2ish

I think we're hitting the 'Spoons in town for a couple, maybe a late breakfast first off & then try Chambers beer fest\one of the other pubs mentioned elsewhere on here.
We like to see a bit of the town normally rather than just the Football Club. Although I'm sure we'll be in Stripes just after 2 for a cheeky one (or two!) prior to KO.
