Thank you once more to all those folk who have signed up for this initiative once again this season.
HOWEVER; I'm hearing from the same people as before and we need new folk to join up to make it viable and currently only two new people have done so.
PLEASE do what you can to raid your piggy banks and join in the fun (even if it's with a mate) - there are some great monthly prizes and the joining fee has halved this year.
I'll be there tomorrow night so please come and see me and be a part of it.
United We Stand.

The season is fast approaching and it will soon be time for the first "United We Stand" Initiative draw. August's draw will take place on Sat 1 Sep v Dorchester and the prizes for that draw will be announced next weekend.
In the meantime, thank you to all those folk who have signed up for the scheme this year (including a number of newcomers to the initiative), but to really make it work we need MORE.
There's still lots of time to sign up and several folk I have spoken to over the last few weeks have registered their interest. PLEASE follow it through and be a part of the fun and support your club along the way. There are two great prizes to be won every month and you have to be in it to win them!
Contact me now on uws@suttonunited.net, via this thread or fill out the form which is available on the official site.
Up the U's!

A very big thank you to everyone who has signed up for this scheme this season- it's been great to welcome some newcomers to the fold too.
May I just make a last plea to folk who have not yet joined but who said they would (about 10-12 people gave me the verbal thumbs up) to do so please. You will make all the difference to the scheme being viable.
The August prize will be announced this weekend and the draw made at half-time on 1 Sep at the match v Dorchester ...but first I need more support.
Just £75 for the season and the chance to win some superb SUFC prizes (including TWO chances for TWO people to spend a "day with the team" plus signed shirts, a season ticket etc etc).
Maybe get together with a mate and go halves or sign up per month at just £9.50 but please do what you can to be a part of the fun. It's all part of the big picture to help the club progress...and every penny counts.
E mail uws@suttonunited.net; post on this thread or see me on Saturday (I'm easy to find!) to tell me you're in!
Carpe diem ..and thanks in advance!

Thank you to those folk who sought me out today to join up for this year's "United We Stand" Initiative.
You support for the scheme is very much appreciated.
There will be two prizes every month and we're starting with one of the most popular and sought-after prizes of all.
The August "UWS" prize will be "a day with the team".
The lucky winner will have the opportunity with a friend to observe first team match preparation including pre-match and half-time dressing room team talks at a forthcoming home match of the management's choice, the details of which will be confirmed by Dos shortly.
We are very grateful to Paul Doswell and his team for enabling us to offer this prize.Only one rule applies to be adhered to by the winner of this great prize - what is said in the changing room, stays in the changing room!
The second prize in August is 4 tickets to the "Boom Boom" club on an evening of the winner's choice.
The draw for these two great prizes will be made at half-time during next Saturday's match v Dorchester ..so there's still time to join in the fun and to stand a chance of winning.
E mail me on uws@suttonunited.net; post your interest on this thread or see me at Welling on Monday.
You've got to be in it to win it and this is one of the best prizes of all!

...one post script if I may.
This morning I received a PM from Dave Smith, "smiffydownunder", a top man and a Sutton United fan through and through who keeps in touch with all the GGL news despite his geographical location (now in Aus).
He passes on his best wishes to everyone at the club, congratulating everyone on and off the pitch for all their continued commitment and hard work...and he's also bought a ball in the "United We Stand" Initiative. Should he win a prize, unless it coincides with his now infrequent visits down the Lane, it will be the first time such a prize would be "delegated" to someone of his choice.
Cheers Dave and keep up the support from afar!

cheers Dave

The draw for the fabulous August "United We Stand" Initiative prizes duly took place at half-time today.
The draw was made by Alison Smith (from St. John's) and witnessed by Tony Dolbear and Alison pulled out:
Ball number 35 which belongs to JOHN PARSONS who wins the tremendous " day with the team" for two people and Ball number 14 which belongs to RON DENYER who wins 4 tickets to a Boom Boom gig of his choice
Congratulations to both and thanks to everyone who has joined the scheme this season.
The September prize will be announced shortly.

Oh well better luck next month!
I quite fancied the 'day with the team prize' but just hope that we play better than we did yesterday when John enjoys his prize. In the dressing room at half and full time yesterday would have been a scary place!
