Might be a decent gate, Wrexham are going well in the Conference National. Shame it's at home, I'd love to see Sutton on Sgorio......

Playing Welling, Salisbury and Wrexham in the space of 2 weeks. It's going to be a real test of our side and resources.
I'm just pleased we didn't get Bromley....

Reckon they could have 500 fans at GGL. 'Tinpot cup' and 'few will go' are a couple of comments from their forum. 150 is a better guess

Tough tie! Wrexham are third in the Conference Prem, and the second highest ranked team left in the competition (after Grimsby). At least we're at home. Let's hope our strikers find their shooting boots before 12 Jan.
I assume this is the first time the two clubs will have met.
Wrexham's recent results include a 5-1 win at Braintree in the league. But, in Saturday's 2nd round Trophy tie, Solihull Moors (of Conference N) twice led at the Racecourse Ground before succumbing 3-2.
Our best hope may be that our opponents see promotion back to the Football League as their priority this season. I don't suppose either side will want a replay. But some Sutton fans may wish to note that Wrexham play their evening matches on Tuesdays!

Am I right in thinking the last time we played a team from North Wales in the Trophy, we got to the final?
Dos's record with cup upsets whilst at Sutton is 2 in favour (Hampton and Kettering) and one against (Alton). Most other cup games have gone according to predictions.
Although they are currently the 2nd highest ranked team in the competition, they could be the highest ranked if they draw or win their game in hand over Grimsby, and a win would mean they would go top of the Conference!
As someone said to me earlier "You've got to beat the best to win it" - as long as we go out there and do our best, we have a fighting chance.
