I improved with age. I added more expletives to my vocabulary. One of my favourite ever Sutton shouts was when we were at Bishop's Stortford and you were so enraged that your rant at the ref accusing him of not being totally impartial lacked your usual articulation. I believe it went "You f***ing c***...w***...s*** Stortford a***hole!" EDIT: I know my description of this as a favourite goes totally against what I said about abusive shouts but I couldn't stop laughing for aaaaaaages.

I don't recall that one, sure it wasn't KBB? He has been known to lose it big time in the past. Ask him about Walthamstow in the mid to late 70's. It had a profound affect on me. I blame him for everything since!!

Exciting football brings in bigger crowds. Somebody in the local area wanting to find a team would look at our result (rarely more than 3 goals per game) and then at other teams such as Kingstonian who won 9-3 against Cray today. Who are they going to see next week based on that evidence?

Well they certainly aren't going to the K's or Robins, their crowds have been awful, particularly the other lot in the borough.

9 - 3 doesn't say exciting game to me. It says Sunday morning pub football with a hangover from hell. Mind you our game today wouldn't serve as much of an advert. 11 quid? I felt robbed for the four notes I done on the dartford crossing.

Cray have been shipping goals all over the place lately including 5 at home to Enfield in midweek. If you're a K's fan to see 9 goals will ave been wonderful but does that make for exciting football? A complete mis-match, a cake-walk maybe but exciting? Sutton beat Merstham 9-3 in 1981 but it wasn't exciting, it was a mis-match.
