To help put our defeat to Truro in perspective, Chelmsford lost 4-1 at home to Hornchurch this evening. Hornchurch went ahead with a 2nd minute penalty and were 2-0 up inside ten minutes. A Dave Rainford og put them 3-0 up in the second half before a goal for each side in the last fifteen minutes.

Do not see the point! Hornchurch are now 17th Truro still bottom Sutton were 12 places higher in the league than Truro. Chelmsford were 14 places higher than Hornchurch plus Chelmsford had only lost once at home previously this season. I think the point is that obviously we were not the only shock result of the evening. One could argue that of the 9 teams below us, we've only beaten 1 at home (Eastbourne) and have lost at home now to two of the bottom 3 (yet to play Billericay), so perhaps it was less of a surprise.

Why is it whenever we lose a game, nobody gives any credit to the oppo? Ok, after the first 20 mins or so Truro were mainly happy to defend and hit us on the break & it worked. No, we we didn't play well but there was another team out there fighting for every ball, defending like crazy to protect a second-string 'keeper and showing some useful attacking play when they could.
It's not all about us, is it?

I think Truro ground out a result against a team who simply didn't perform on the night. I am still totally bemused by Truro's style of play. I can understand a side desperate for a point or to stay in the league or to gain a playoff place etc defending for all their life and trying to hit with a free kick or even on the break. Given Truro's hopeless position surely looking to play football and having a go at teams before you go out of the division is the way to go? I wouldn't want to travel 300 miles be 16pts adrift with 9 games left and see us set up for a 0-0 draw and a point?

But we're always going to look at it from a Sutton point of view, and you summed it up great. They did everything we struggled to do!

They did everything we struggled to do! I am not sure the word 'best' fits with anything I saw on Tuesday and again watching the video, maybe least worst? Lets face it Truro are bottom because they are not very good, they did not turn out a world beating performance in fact they were poor too. The reason we lost was because we put up a performance which would see us struggle agaist a combined Counties side. I though Havant were excellent on the counter against us, and we could do with that boy Ollie Palmer!

Ever heard of playing within your limitations? Maybe months of being smashed means they know their approach on Tuesday is the only way to win games?
They certainly have players who can actually take set pieces which is more than we offer.

Well put OS You have hit the 'nail on the head' The U's have totally underperformed on too many occassions this season and we cannot keep saying its another bad day at the office After the loss v Bath their supporters came and asked me to pinch them to establish whether or not they had been dreaming

Why do you have to admire them ? I think they need someone to put a friendly arm round them and give them some help and advice.
