Paul. Was it intentional to put Dartford as a caption under the Dundo piccie? Considering the announcer quoted Staines as having equalised !!!

Oh finally MoM for me today. Simon Downer. Utterly superb today and showed what a quality centre back he really is. He is, by far, our best player, pure class.

Not oddsing that it was going to be called as a foul and probably a yellow card but I maintain it was the Lino whose intervention swung it as a red. Also minutes later one if their players went in foot up chest high Nani style and it was ruled a foul and no card at all. Go figure. I also judge a lot from the reaction of our players and our bench who I don't think are cheats. Out of order? That's a bit strong mate.

Christ, just listened to their post-match stuff. Anybody would have thought they had been robbed of a well deserved victory! Reality check required methinks.

I think we put in a fine shift today and on balance of play a point was the least we deserved. I like the way we pushed a footballing side like Dover back and for long periods they were simply unable to get out. I thought Ali had a good debut and I think it was he who struck the bar in the first half from 20-25yrds? We played some excellent stuff through the middle, no lumping it forward everything was considered and we constantly found the gaps in their back 4. I actually thought the delivery was much improved then of late and young James was instrumental in that, it was just that we were not really attacking the 6 yard box, so a few carried straight through. At the back we were strong against a good attacking side with SD looking a million dollars and probably one of the best defenders in the league. I saw Deano's challenge from the front and I can't believe it yielded a straight red! It looked one footed along the ground, full contact on the ball and the player goes over. I know the rules are strict now but I don't even think it was a foul? After dominating the opening 20mins of the half it was a blow to go down to 10, and Dover seized their opportunity with a bit of headsy in the box falling kindly for them to score. Then a ball over the top catches us out and it might have been 2-0 but for a great save from Tom. After that 10min spell and the introduction of CB and Leroy we started to press again. It was just desserts when CB scored a blinder to level the scores on 90mins. Dover forced two reasonable chances in succession blasting both well over. Dundo then adjudged to be offside for would well and truly have put a cherry on top of a fine performance and probably a deserved victory? I like the Dover managers comments saying we raised our game because it was Dover and that everyone wants to beat Dover Hard to look past SD for MOTM, but for me young James played his best game in a Sutton shirt.

James Foulkes gets better and better. Who does he play for then?

We seem to be saving our better showings for away trips these days! A disciplined performance against the side in third place, with the two new boys slotting in nicely (Eliot Wheeler looks a real find) and the defence a lot more secure with Simon Downer back. It was a lovely late equaliser from Chris Benjamin - although we can't rely on serving up that sort of strike in every game.
The consensus on the Dover forum seems to be that they were a bit light in midfield. We're going to be a bit short in that area ourselves in the coming weeks with Harry and Dean presumably set to serve overlapping three match suspensions. Let's hope that Rivs is fit again soon.

Highlights:
Unfortunately doesn't show Dundo's first-half header or Dundo's volley that was disallowed on full time.

I've got to say that was a very good performance from Sutton & if we had got the right player in the box for several crosses we would have won easily.Impressed with the two new players although i'm not sure that our right back had the right footwear on as he kept slipping over! SD was superb at the back but also a special mention for the skipper who didn't impress me at the start of the season but in recent weeks as shown me why Dos has kept faith in him.
With the promise of some more quality being added next season its starting to look interesting again.

A twofooted tackle is not itself illegal. That is so delboy but when a player launches himself studs up he is asking for trouble but as I said on the reflection of the quality of the game and the fact that it was the first really poor challenge I felt yellow would have been sufficient

Good quality an spirited performance. The new signings looked good and really added to the side. Though the red card was heavily influenced by the reacting of the Dover players, who all knew that they were getting nowhere against us. Seen it several times on the highlights and still think he won the ball cleanly and never actually caught the player, but it was two footed. First bad challenge in the game and common sense would have said a yellow would have done. Ref was poor throughout the game.
Still, much better than some previous performances and the side had a better balance about it. Let's build on this and end the season with a flurrish.

I don't think it was a full blown 2 footed tackle, only one foot continues through, gets the ball. Given the context of the game and lack of any agression on both sides, I think its very harsh to deem that violent conduct?

Defo red card. At the time I thought he'd stretched out one leg but it was two footed. Not sure why the Dover players had to get involved as it should have been clear to the ref, he wasn't far away from the incident.
One point on the highlights, why the need to pump up the volume? Sounded like there was a crowd5 times as big a there was. Ridiciulous.
