So then...anyone think we can make the play-offs this season?

We can but as has been stated here previously we need other teams to drop points.

Huge task that. Would have to win every game including Sailsbury on Tuesday and Bath away and then have to hope other results go our way. Realistically a win and a draw would see Weston finish ahead of us. Two wins and a draw is likely enough for Eastleigh who have Bromley, Tonbridge & Truro at home. three wins there and that's that. Can probably pass BW so I thin 7th, possibly 6th if things go our way, but as Dos said last night, our start to the season was too poor to really challenge. Even a couple of wins where we had draws would have seen us right up there, but we surrendered too many games early this season. That doesn't mean we shouldn't give it a damn good go and it is important to carry some momentum into next season. With the players Dos is bringing in and a good finish to this season, next season could be very interesting.

It's unlikely, but not impossible. Let's assume that Dos's analogy pans out, and we 'win' the 'FA Cup' at Bath. Straight away this would blow out Weston and we would be in competition with just Eastleigh and Borehamwood. With us on 70 points BW could not afford a single draw so let's dismiss them too. That leaves Eastleigh, and they would need to lose one and draw one. OK, I can't see that happening but let's all dream on for a little while longer please?

If we do sustain this good run and we don’t get in the playoffs we can still look back on a successful season. We still have the Surrey Cup final and the announcement of the new players to look forward to. It is a good time to be a Sutton fan. If you’re in any doubt, look towards the many local sides who are struggling at the moment.

There's certainly a momentum which could haul us over the finishing line at the moment.
I would say that Eastleigh probably have the easiest run in terms of possible number of points they can get, and arguably we have the toughest, especially the last 2. Our fate could be sealed/given a helping hand by kent sides. This could be one of the few times we want Bromley to win all their remaining games!
I can't see Weston losing either game they have left, so 70 points is the target....

I can't see Weston losing either game they have left, so 70 points is the target.... That means winning all 4 remaining games. Possible, but a big ask. I think 66 points, give our start to the season, would not be a bad effort. That would be beating H&Y and Hornchurch and drawing with Salisbury and Bath. 68 points would be great and 70 would be absolutely fantastic. Alot may hang on whether Salisbury are still in the title hunt but with Welling playing BW on Saturday I think the title will be sealed by then. Mught help us if the wind is taken out of Salisury's sails a bit, who knows. I'm sure the lads will give it their all.

The title will be won on Saturday. Welling will get a result against faltering BW, and Salisbury facing top of the form table Havant, who probably have as much belief as we do for a play off place may well prevent a home win.
Tonights games Billericay Town v Staines Town Dorchester Town v Maidenhead United Eastbourne Borough v Boreham Wood Eastleigh v Bromley Havant & Waterlooville v Dover Athletic

Chelmsford should be ok for a playoff spot with Jamie Slabber getting both of their goals.

I think the key is Eastleigh if they beat Bromley tonight then its pretty much all over for us. If they lose then the dream is still alive 'just'.
