I am not sure who the candidates are for manager of SUFC apart from S Massey, but I feel we need someone with Conf. South credentials and contacts at this level. It is apparent that the current squad, with a few exceptions are not strong enough to survive at this level. Weak at the back and no power up front. Although we have no devine right to play at this level, every effort must be made to stay in this league. I think we would struggle to get out of Rymans Premier. So lets choose the right man for the job, and not someone who might do well from a lower league. Be Brave Sutton.

Considering the marked improvement in team spirit and performance I wouldn't be surprised to see Massey stay on as a coach. Don't think he'd cut it as an out and out manager but surely he deserves to stay on in some capacity?
Cue the flaming!

Top point Rax. It seems like he is the type of character that the players respect, which is a very healthy thing in my opinion.

Yes to coach, no to manager.

I have a feeling it'll be Massey. I have no insider knowledge whatsoever, it's just a feeling.

In the printed edition of the Sutton Guardian today (not yet in the online version), there seems to be an indication that the club is cooling on appointing Stuart following the defeat at Thurrock.
If Stuart doesn't get the job, his future will surely depend on whether the new man wants to work with him. He may bring his own "team" in.

There's also Mickey Stephens position to consider.

Able doesn't really have a position at present. Ian brought him to do a little scouting and Stuart then asked him to lend a helping hand. Able was helping Dave Harlow at Leathrehead.

I'm almost willing to put money on it NOT being Massey, for the argument I said before - CONTACTS!
Would be a shame to be honest, but that seems to be more and more of a criteria for managers in this day and age

I'm with Andy K on this one - no insider knowledge either.
Anyway only a few hours to go or at the worst a good night's kip & then wake up to find the news in the morning. A bit like Christmas Day really, except Santa hasn't been to my house for bloody years!
