With the season nearly over it is perhaps time to start casting our minds towards next year, after the SSC cup final anyway. Who does everyone want us to play in a friendly match before the new season starts? I would expect we will have the annual games against Kingstonian and Carshalton but there will still be room for many more games. Personally I would like to see the Youth side visit Weston Green Sports as its always nice to be able to walk for 2 minutes to get to a game. I'm also hoping that we take on a Premier League XI (Fulham played a strong side against Kingstonian last year) and maybe make the trip to Bedfont to be the first team to play against the newly formed Bedfont and Feltham FC. Thoughts anyone?

I always like going to Whyteleafe, not sure why. Of course the 407 bus now stops right outside my house...

I assume Sutton would like to arrange to get a big club to visit the Lane. It would be nice to get Palace or one of the bigger London clubs. However the chances are slim.If we are to visit local sides it would be nice to avoid the Ks and Carshalton.

I'll be the killjoy in this convo by stating what I say every season. PSF selection which best prepares us for the season to get that match fitness up and allows us a decent test and proper flexibility in formation - so a combination of games against higher and lower opposition.
From a fans point of view, aside from the Leyton Orient and Southampton, the friendlies last season were really uninspiring but the aim will be to get the players ready and working together. Weirdly enough we've had a month of "pre-pre season" already as we've pretty much got the squad for next season, barring the anticipated two strikers and a right back so this season I think it will be more a case of getting match fitness and playing with some formations and tactics.

Always good to see us playing different teams in pre-season - I'm going to suggest Brentford and AFC Wimbledon mixed with Leatherhead, Carshalton, Dulwich and Horsham perhaps..
