Thanks for posting - our luck of lack or rub of the green is quite baffling - not that that's an excuse but injuries/cup draws and several decisions in most games just haven't gone our way.. Swings and roundabouts I guess - hopefully things even themselves out come May!

After the game the Dorchester manager also praised his opposite number Paul Doswell for the manner in which he conducted himself at the final whistle: “Fair play to Paul, he came and shook hands and said we deserved it, he showed real class in doing that and I wish him well for the rest of the season.”
High quality reaction by Dos who will have been suffering the same immense frustration as the rest of us. Sometimes, you have to accept that football is just like that. No-one could fault the effort, attitude and commitment of the players; we had an overwhelming share of the play and possession, created countless chances, hit the bar and the post, had a goal dubiously disallowed and the referee with his whistle to his lips as our centre forward went down under a challenge but decided not to award a penalty....it was one of those days.
I had four guests at the game who were very impressed by a lot of our play and commented on the progress the team has made since their last visit. Give great credit to Dorchester for the way they battled but we've all watched football long enough to accept that days like that occasionally happen.
Onwards and upwards.
(Billy; the attendance was 646. GGL is a big ground and a mixture of Residents' Day and schools' marketing activity took place over the last couple of weeks to promote this game . Presumably you didn't crane your neck to the right hand side of the grandstand? Lots of work is going on to spread the word which will continue to happen).

Now we know you live in GGL...all we need is the door number I don't live in Gander Green Lane - neither does Paul Burstow ! I live on St Dunstans Hill. Perhaps the leaflet dropper walked passed our house to get to his.

T Swings and roundabouts I guess - hopefully things even themselves out come May! As far as I'm concerned, they evened out on the day. Palace played the same game as Dorchester - packed defence, large slices of luck, score on a breakaway. If I'm happy for those 3 points, I can't bitch about Sutton dropping them!

Tricked you into telling us where you really live. Where i "really" live That's uncalled for , i've mentioned several times in here that i live on St Dunstan's Hill ! Feel free to pop in for a cup of tea on your way to GGL anytime you like.Just don't ask me to come to the game ! A couple of lads from in here have been to my house to collect programmes. There is also the possibility that someone else who reads these pages has visited our house when we were not here.I foolishly mentioned early last year that we were leaving for a holiday the following morning. The day after we left our house was burgled and my wife lost many items of irreplaceable jewellry that had been handed down to her from past generations. What a coincidence !

It was only a joke Billy, nothing meant by it! Thanks for the offer but you're in the opposite direction from me - I live in Carshalton Road.
As for the burglary - so sorry to hear that. How horrible, especially losing family heirlooms which must be so painful.
