Any sense of what sort of side we are putting out tonight bearing in mind there is also a game tomorrow? Trying to determine whether worth a look.

From what I remember last year with the Fulham and Arsenal games that happened in an even shorter space of time (17 odd hours between end of one and the other compared to 22 hours this time!) I think there were 8 players or so who played pretty much most of both games. Everyone who is available will play - i'd hazard a guess that Julien will play tonight and Lovelock tomorrow and a lot of rotation but I think only a handful of non first team players will play - you never know there may be the odd guest appearance/trialist in there too. Worth a look I'd say, esp with Ashley Bayes possibly between the sticks for AFCW tonight - always worth some banter

I hear that Julian is not fit a the moment, and may quite some way off playing.

Kane has just equalised 1-1 from 25yrds I hear. These commentators are just a bit getting on my nerves, you would think they were Real Madrid the way they talk

Might well be the Beadle link-up from last season.

Considering we were playing a side two levels above who used circa 20 players, U's made a good fist of what was an entertaining fixture and only went down to a late goal.
Yep, Tom was by far the busiest 'keeper but he was once again excellent and we enjoyed a good 30 min spell sandwiched either side of half time during which Kane Haysman cracked home a low drive from the edge of the box.
We played some good stuff at times, defended well and had a few moments up front too, the last of which saw Jessy R fire over the top when well placed. Marv was lively tonight and got absolutely nothing out of the ref, who's decision to let the match flow rather than blow for every contact upset the home fans but helped make it a decent encounter.
If Dos' boys can keep up that level of performance in the CS this season, we will be a tough opponent for sure. Impressed.

I was very impressed with the teams performance. Tom played very well in goal and I think he deserves to start the season as our number one. Spillane , Clough and Haysman also had very good games. The team looks to be developing well and will be a force in the league this coming season.

Very decent work out that. Lovelock superb and unlucky with the rebound on the winner. Excellent equaliser by Kane and we were pressing hard for an equaliser at the death when Spillane hit the bar. That's a tribute to the fitness regime as we were up against the full AFC squad I believe. All good solid promising stuff.
