A makeshift back four consisting of 3x 18 year olds and Craig at left-back who is 21.....can anyone else rember a younger back-four?!!!
Whatever the result of that though, Tom and Deano did well so I think we can all see a glimpse of the future after today's game.
Going further up the park, Jason had a great game and reallly terrorised their left back. Nicky G just was not effective on the left hand side though so that's definitely somewhere to work on.
We didn't lose today. That was the most important thing against a side that is incredibly high in confidence. Let's finish the hob on Tuesday lads....be professional and get the job done

Tom played very well IMO, solid. Dean wa a little wayward with some of his passing at times but overall the defence played pretty well ok. Harry came on late on and won a couple of headers and made a good contribution for the short time he was on the pitch, i'd like to see him given more opportunities from the bench in the future to boost his confidence, i feel it's definitely too soon to put him straight into the team but give him time and a chance to adapt to this level he could adapt to a player more than capable of this standard, he has bulked up well in the past couple of years but can't believe he is there yet. A good prospect.

A draw was about right. Dover started the stronger, but we came into the game after 15 minutes, scored the opener and finished a slightlly lacklustre first half on top. Both sides raised their game in the second half, Dover equalised via a deflection and then each team had chances to win, Dover failing to capitalise on a spectacular triple opening in the dying minutes.

Nice highlights, reflected the game quite well though rather painfully highlighted both sides blowing their match winning chance at the end. What Jallow was doing with his shot i'll never know, he found the only spot he wouldn't have scored from...
Still, to get a draw against the in form team is promising.

Also shows the inability of the asst ref's to spot an offside!

Good performance, especially from the back four who's showing deserved a clean sheet. Thought we were a little unlucky not to get the win, but to be fair, Dover did have a couple of good chances late on. Still, plenty to build on there. Let's finish the job tuesday. Unbeaten in two!

Excellent quality highlights, great for those of us unable to get to the match. Commentary as well made it very professional. Nearly as good as MOTD. Actually it was better, no G Linekar analysisng!!! Thanks to the Dover guys. We should have finished them off, but they could have snatched it too from what I saw, but we should have the edge down "The Lane" Good Luck on Tuesday guys!! Would be great if we could do something like that. (video highlights that is)

As one who missed yesterday the highlights were excellent, being a little critical it shows our need of a quality striker. Not easy to get I know but simply the highlights show 2 or 3 attempts when the Dover keeper should have been picking the ball out the net. You know the feeling with one on ones, some teams and players you just know the ball is going to end up in the back of the net, we need one of them. I think we are improving and we will get enough sights of goal to stay up its just a question if we take em or not?

Gareth just for the record did you include Haverson in your summery of ages as according to the Grays website he is 20 as he was born on the 11th Sept 1987,I also thought Deano and Tom were a year older but I might be wrong even so good to see them all get a chance.

Thought it was a decent game on Saturday. Thought we were the better team in the 1st half, indeed i thought we were the only team to create any real chances. Thought Henry was our most dangerous attacking threat in the 1st half, down the right, and his cross for Warren's goal was very decent. 2nd half we rode our luck at times, but we also were still creating chances. Not disappointed with a draw, means we live to fight another day, but let's finish the job off tomorrow night lads.

Looked very encouraging to me, not sure how it finished 1-1 though with some glaring misses from both sides. Perhaps if we could try hitting the ball first time when in front of goal we might not get our shots blocked!

(video highlights that is) Good stuff on the Dover site - the interview with the Assistant Manager was also good - he was quite convinced that they were the better side and will win the replay tonight. Hard to believe how many chances both sides missed. I don't suppose we can run to these sort of video clips, but wouldn't it be good if we could get a brief match preview from Ernie on here before games? Even the Bobbins manage that. As far as I could tell there wasn't any team news or preview of the Dover game.

Some fairly balanced comments on the Dover message board. They spotted we're low on confidence, but admitted we had a good chance to win - as they did. Interestingly, their keeper seems to be the man of the match. www.dovorian.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5570
