On the 29th November 2014 leaving at 8am from the ground car park, a 50 seat coach has been booked for the Hereford encounter which with your help we hope to fill. Please contact Nigel Guest on 0208 770 0218 in order to reserve your seat If we can get enough numbers the cost should be around £35 (or less for a 4 1/2 hour journey with a short stop) and the coach is going to leave at 9AM not 8am as previously suggested

The response to date is appalling. If we can seat 50 then the cost will only be £20 per head and on a 150 odd mile journey door to door with the return rail fare approx. £65 and the general cost of car transport between £50-£100 the coach is good value for money. Other than the price at the turnstiles there will be no other cost(s) Come on guys let's give the team some support.

Why? I would be interested in going on the coach.
If we can't fill a 50 seater coach why not take a smaller coach? How many people had shown an interest?

Was it a Stage coach? Leaving at 8am to do a 3 hour journey didn't appeal to many I guess?

While I totally appreciate the effort that goes into getting a coach running, for varying reasons it's not been the travel option of choice for many Sutton supporters. I remember the days when it was, and I'm still a little envious when other clubs bring coaches, but as the majority of our support base either drive (or have access to people that do) or like to make a day of it by having a few drinks before or after, the coach will never be a first choice. Was it last season at Kiddy (possibly the last time we had a coach) where the coach driver took the coach AWOL also probably doesn't fill the fans with much confidence either.
For me, I'll drive. I always drive to games, and if I have 3 others in the car the cost of getting there and back between us will still be cheaper than a coach, invariably faster and we can choose our own itinerary. It certainly doesn't mean me, my passengers or any others that make the journey are not giving the team their support.

My sense of humour is obviously waning! 150divided by 2 is 75 and if U think U can do 75mph on our roads as an average speed then U shud re-take Ur TEST

Coaches are not allowed to do 75 mph and you can't do that on the last (long) leg of the journey to Hereford. Not sure where you're coming from there OS?
