Ramsgate frontman Steffan Ball may have played his last game for the RAMS, and be moving up a League to join Sutton United.
The Blue Square South club had previously made an offer for Ball that was rejected, however a revised deal has been agreed between the chairmen and, subject to Steffan agreeing personal terms, the Rams' top scorer will be on his way.
Chairman Richard Lawson confirmed "We have never been a club that will stand in the way of a player who gets an opportunity to play at a higher level, and if a player wants fresh challenges will do our utmost to see that they get the best deal. Everyone at the Club wishes Steffan well if he makes the step up, and thank him for his commitment to the Rams."

subject to Steffan agreeing personal terms,
I've been holding back on this until Hon Sec put something on himself. Those 6 words in bold above are pretty important.

Subject to terms sounds worrying! He may want to play at a higher level but there is a slight flaw in that plan if he comes here!
Anyway, I like the sound of this from the Isthmian Board: "Good strong, tall and agressive target man. I thought he might be a possible target for Terry Brown. Always looked the part against us. "

Steffan is a really nice bloke has really good ball control and touch for a tall guy, not a set piece taker in my own opinion can play on both wings can use both feet if needed i believe.
Is useless with his head tbh, but he could be your answer to your goalscoring or just holding up the ball for others.
I wish you all the best and hope you stay up and we will have to wait and see what happens.

I hope he joins us. "Dundas and Ball" has a certain ring to it!

I can see the potential for some incredibly corny chants...

What about a 'Ram' joining the 'Ewes', sounds sheepish to me.

There could be some good headlines on the back of the Guardian if this transfer pays off...

If we mix too many Rams with Ewes, we might get someone going off to Tamworth to play at the Lamb...

Would not have thought he is your answer. Has played with Dundas before. Had a lot of Clubs which always says something at this level

Where did they previously play together ? And why is it you think he may not be the answer for us ? I understand your comment regarding number of clubs played for but this is not always a bad sign as players move clubs for a variety of reasons. If however he has played for 20 or so then that could be a cause for concern.

I see Ramsgate have signed a young full back and Lenny Piper on the proceeds from Ball already, pretty quick off of the mark!!
Have we looked into strengthening anymore? Surely their is a few quid left from the money previously raised and we certainly need to get some more experience into the side asap.
