I am pleased to see you survived your birthday trip to Millwall. When I was your age the Old Den in Cold Blow Lane (the street name was a warning) was infamous. I survived away travel throughout the height of the hooligan era, and Millwall was the only trip on which I got beaten up.
Millwall is an area on the Isle of Dogs, on the North side of the Thames opposite Greenwich. The old football ground is still there in Mudchute Park. Only grass and grass banking now but the original ground on which Millwall played AND the first ground that Woolwich Arsenal used. That would be worth a visit.

We actually felt quite welcome, was a good day, quite friendly, definitely not the same club they used to be! |
