Great news about Thomas. He is class. Not surprised about Gueye. Didn’t do enough for me and clearly couldn’t help Whitehawk. We have enough quality up front and it looks as though Wright hasn’t gone anywhere so a cracking day all in all

Agreed Thomas is very good and comfortable on the ball. I think he has a big future.

I didn’t realise it was said it there as I only quickly listened to the interview whilst doing coursework, must have been deep into my work when he said that

And I disagree. Yes, Josh is a good player but he's a little too inconsistent for me. With Ross if he gets a run in the team he gives consistently good performances. It's not that I'm anti-Josh, atm I'd rather see Stearn back in the team

I'd like to see Josh Taylor back as well. Very creative player.

Good to see Ross get the opportunity to come back. I think he will get opportunities to play over the next month and when he’s on form he can be a handful for full backs. I also like Josh Taylor as a player and while he does most of his best work in the wide areas he is not a winger in the style of Cadoggan, Hudson-Odui or Stern. I personally think Josh will play his best football for Sutton in the central areas of the pitch where his ability to commit opponents and his range of passing would feed a forward like Tommy Wright. In the two games I have seen him play in the SSC this year, he has played in the middle of the park but has played it too safe preferring to keep the ball moving rather than take a risk by beating a man or going for the killer pass. I think he could be a real talent for us and I would really love to see him take a game by the scruff of the neck and turn his potential into performance.

One of the main problems on Saturday was that we fired over a lot of crosses, most of them pants. Perhaps this is the reason for Ross' recall, he was always a more accurate crosser of the ball.

It's weird with Taylor he was winning plaudits left, right, centre not to long ago and winning multiple man of the match awards. It felt like every week I'd hear his name mentioned as MoTM.
Since he came out if the side we've gone for pace and more pace. I agree Tony the crossing was poor on Saturday. Especially in the 1st half the lofted cross from the left were gobbled up.
I think the 2nd half was crying out for a player of Taylor or Stearn's dribbling ability who can come inside the field and combine.
I'm glad Ross is back, the brief glimpse of him and Tom B reunited a little while ago looked like they never been apart. They had the crowd going and that's what we need. The atmosphere has been flat but the fans need something to get stuck into.
Teams will come and sit in even more now at home so we need the likes of Ross or Josh or both to help us carve open those stubborn sides.

I think we've become a tad too predictable in alot of recent games, always looking to play out wide. When a team KNOWS you are going to ping it wide and look to cross is is fairly easy to defend against unless the deliveries are spot on. There were a few good crosses on Sat, especially 2nd half, and there werent many particularly poor deliveries, but Wrexham were set up well to defend crosses. Against Daggers we mixed it up a lot more and played through the middle.
Josh T was one of our main attacking threats and loves to play through the middle so that would have something to do with it. I suspect his being out of the team is to do with the personal issues and nothing to do with his performances. Yes he did occasionally lose possession in a bad area or have anonymous games but he was at the heart of much of our best high tempo play such as 2nd half Aldershot and I hope he's back soon.

Played it too safe? Remind me, what was the score in those two games? We don't ask for a lot do we!
