Have we appealed, and if so how long does it take?

FA Website still has him banned for 3 games www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/discipline/suspensions/clubdiscipline?league=28&club=10630805As for any appeal - the offical preview says: "U’s will be without skipper Jamie Collins, who will have to serve a three match ban for his controversial red card against Bromley following the FA’s decision that, although a technical issue with their own computer system had prevented the officials’ report of the incident, which the club wanted to see, being available to the club until after the deadline for appeals, they would not accept the club’s appeal having been lodged after that deadline." Stinks a bit that..

If that is the case how can the FA not allow the appeal when they can't get their own house in order?
Think we should have appealed anyway when you look at the coverage on the BT website. Quote "Is this the worst red card ever?".
Totally astonished.

For sure if there was no dialogue to confirm that we would get any sort of extension, the appeal should have gone in regardless. The club's argument would presumably be we don't know what we are appealing given nothing happened!! Maybe on a positive note at least JC gets a well earned rest ahead of the (hopefully) play offs. But obviously work to do and made harder perhaps to get 2nd/3rd given his absence. However we've got a good squad and am sure Aswad can come in and fight for a starting spot.

Now availed of the facts and process. Believe me, this is totally the FA's fault. Everything is done using their system and because of a technical fault the process couldn't happen until, I believe, the notification deadline had passed.
The FA's disciplinary department appear to have acted like a bunch of charlatans and ignored (not for the first time) their failings.
I used to feel sorry for some club sec's when I worked at the SCFA (they won't believe that because I was often in no position other than to tow "the party line") but what hope is there for Sunday clubs etc, when the FA can't even acknowledge their system is not fit for purpose at the 5th level of football in England?
Can you imagine if this had been a Premier League club? Sky would be all over it.
I suspect I shall get pulled over the coals for the above but transparency is sometimes a necessity, not that the FA would appear to know the meaning of that word.

Unreal. Got to feel for JC more than anything, a red card against his name for that!! Plus the missed football, which he clearly loves! Presumably the fine stands too! Joke.

Macc Town fan here. I recorded the Sutton-Bromley game and watched it when I got in from Macc-Chester. I have to say, the referee had an absolute stinker of a game. That was never a sending off in a million years, and I was convinced you'd get it rescinded on appeal.
Then again, your keeper should have walked for the penalty incident. I know the law has changed so that if a penalty is awarded, there's no red card IF THE FOUL IS ACCIDENTAL - but seeing as the ref issued a yellow, he's implying that the keeper was out-of-order - so why not red? Should have been no card or red card - defo not yellow.
Bromley should have had a goal that was 5 yards ONSIDE as well.
But yeah, shocking red card decision against JC. I can't see that ref getting many more games this year, very poor performance.
Now, what with your 3G pitch? I one place I read that you didn't lodge with the FA by April 2017, that you were going to rip it up, so you've missed the deadline to be considered for promotion. Elsewhere I read that if in a promotion position as champions or via the play-offs, then you will appeal to the FA to attempt the overturn the EFL's stance. The National League seems to have a rule that if you finish in a promotion place but do not take up promotion, then the punishment is relegation to National League South! A friend of mine who is a fan of a neutral club reckons this is the cause of your recent downturn in form.
So what's actually the facts behind all this bluster?

As far as I am aware, no such deadline (if it existed) was missed because the club signed an undertaking to take up the 3G should they be successful in gaining promotion to the EFL before the season started. I don't think they had any choice but to sign, either.
It has been well reported that Sutton would indeed replace the 3G should they gain promotion, albeit reluctantly, as it damages the community plan.
As for it being behind our "dip in form", I doubt that very much.

Thank you. That all sounds far more rational and believable than the rumours doing the rounds! The only thing in my post I was certain of was that the ref in the Sutton-Bromley game had an extremely poor performance.
Good luck against Fylde tomorrow. (Do I mean that?) I've heard (yes, another rumour) that their players are on big bonuses for beating top six sides - arguably motivating the pastings they've handed out to Macc, Aldershot and Tranmere. It will be interesting to see how you fare up there.

If we were really serious about winning the league we would have submitted the appeal Monday evening. I agree we are fighting above our weight to be Second in the league but I do get the distinct impression that promotion would not be advantageous to us.

Just playing non league football for the foreseeable future.

I agree we are fighting above our weight to be Second in the league but I do get the distinct impression that promotion would not be advantageous to us. I think that's a bit of a stretch combining those two. I expect the club wanted to know exactly what they were appealing against before they did it, rather than a hunch.
