Anyone else out of pocket like myself? £25.70 down the drain. Purchased advanced train ticket to Winchester this morning as only advanced fares are affordable.Being mid-week stands to reason many people be coming straight from work and therefore training it. Why was this decision tannounced so late must have known by Sunday surely?Cancelled barely 48 hours before. Even now the official main Sutton Website has Winchester as next fixture with no clear reference that its off. Paying loyal travelling supporters the last to be considered. Poor and amateurish this one.

Was it the clubs fault though or Winchester's? Sorry about your financial loss but it may not be down to Sutton for the cancellation.

Winchester claim that it’s due to a spate of injuries suffered on Saturday. Sounds like hogwash to me because they’re scheduled to play Bashley tomorrow night and that seems to be going ahead.

It is Sutton who has the injury concerns. Ian Baird touched on it during his interview after the Chelsea game.
Reading between the lines, think we maybe down to 13 or so and the academy team is due to play Wednesday too.
By the sounds of it Winchester's pitch still needs work so maybe best not to risk it.

The short-notice cancellation is annoying, but it's a pretty rare occurrence for Sutton fans.
Anybody who's bought advance rail tickets might want to use them anyway. Winchester is a very pleasant city to stroll around on a summer evening - and it has some great pubs. ☺

On the Winchester forum it states we pulled out of the friendly because of our injury situation.

We have just had a message from Dos that this Wednesday's game at Winchester has been cancelled. Thanks Dave you have saved me a couple of (admittedly short) trips to Winchester, because I would have gone tonight Tuesday - since that was the match day advised in the v Chelsea programme. For the traveller with a ticket out of pocket - as Amber Aleman says take the trip. You can see King Arthur's Round Table in the Great Hall (fake) and enjoy the beer and decor in the Black Boy followed by more beer and dinner at the Wykeham Arms.

I’ve arrived in Aberdeen for Elgin v Alloa tonight and Brechin v Dunfermline tomorrow. If we get drawn to either of those Home sides in the IrnBru, I will be very disappointed. But at least I’m not missing Winchester. 😬

You can see King Arthur's Round Table in the Great Hall (fake) What, King Arthur, The Round Table, or The Great Hall? The Great Hall is real. King Arthur is a fake, he did not exist. The table is a real table with all the knights' names, but cannot be what it is supposed to be.

In view of his well-documented penchant for ménage à trois and fathering children by multiple women, a bit too friendly, some might say...
