As we've found out this week, being involved with a particular football club does not necessarily correlate with one's ability to make sound judgements about political matters But I was referring to a real live person, not a fairytale outfit bathed in self aggrandisement.

On behalf of the Apostrophe Party, I concur. You’re your own boss, in days of yore you’d have gone down well🗡🤴

Hi, Dave F, is there an artists impression of the new facility available? I’ve seen the plans, but have not seen any pictures. If there are could they be published on here, so supporters can see what’s been done?

Thanks Banjo, I’ve seen this, but I’d like to see a picture of what it will actually look like.

BH - the pdf in the Planning Application of the elevations is as close as we can get to what it would look like.

Why no urinals in any of the toilet facilities?

No sure of this has been mentioned before but this planning application was granted by the looks of it. Not exactly the structure most of us were hoping for or was put forward originally but hey ho i guess that's all we can afford. Thanks partly to Arsenal if I remember correctly. The provision of changing rooms will transform what the Community can do with the football pitch in the Rec. As well, it could help SUFC with the use of their pitch on popular days. You can shedule an adult match to start 2 hours after the ko of the preceding match, but only if you have 2 sets of changing rooms available, otherwise the players' use of a single pair of changing rooms overlap.
PS: to the U's official who described my opinion that the two foot sideways slope on the pitch at the Collingwood end was "an optical illusion" OK mate, just check out the site survey heights in the planning application: 0.67 metres. QED.

I'm guessing then that the unisex toilets won't be available on match days.
Originally the structure proposed would incorporate a catering outlet and new toilet facilities to replace the Victorian bog in the corner of the ground. The provision of changing rooms for kids playing football on the rec is to be applauded but i can't help feeling that they won't really be used as most teams come to matches already in their kit.

"most teams come to matches already in their kit"
Well, they would do if they don't have anywhere to change !

"most teams come to matches already in their kit" Well, they would do if they don't have anywhere to change ! No i fully understand that Dave and when i used to play we changed into our kit at the ground. What i found recently with kids football was that facilities weren't normally available and even when they were they weren't used as kids preferred to arrive in their kit.As a parent though it was always nice to have a toilet available at a ground.
