That is a surprise. Didn't seem to get as many games as i thought he deserved and i'm sorry to see him go. The revolving door seems to be going flat out at the moment. You can’t expect to sign McQueen, Asante-Thomas, Williams and Toure and not have a forward leave! Who were people expecting to leave? Tom Bolarinwa? Tommy Wright? I don’t see KC going as at all surprising. Is Asante ours now?! Must have missed that as thought was just loan deal.

Yes it’s a loan deal, as is Williams. Doesn’t that count then? You don’t bring in loan players if you’re happy with what you’ve got.

Disappointing to lose a player who many (myself included) thought was underutilused and who was used prominently in the recent billboard campaign.

Yes it’s a loan deal, as is Williams. Doesn’t that count then? You don’t bring in loan players if you’re happy with what you’ve got. Depends as I was under the impression both were short term loan deals to help steady the ship (which indeed they have) whereas KC was part of the clubs long term plans. That said recent events (Cloughs departure, Jonah's surprise loan then quick return etc) have thought me best not to question personel matters too much as we are rarely in possession of the full facts. KC may well still have been part if the plans but perhaps was offered more money, ala Lafayette and Clough, or perhaps as you say Tony, one had to go to balance the books with all the recent arrivals, and to be fully honest KC often flattered to deceive. Bags of talent and technical ability but never quite took things by the scruff of the neck in the way Deacon did (he was billed as the new deacon on arrival and certainly has comparable natural talent). Perhaps Asante and or Williams will be staying with us longer term, and on early evidence both have looked sharp and likely would be in the side ahead of KC. Either way the squad is in the best shape since just before Tommy's injury and Lafayettes departure and during the 2nd half of the season I expect to see us putting in some of the cohesive attacking displays that we all love to see and are so strongly desired by sections of our support. Grinding out three very hard earned and workmanlike wins and some loss of form by sides above us (is that 4 in a row for moneybags Salford?) has really opened up the division just when it looked like our season might fade out, especially with a potential FA trophy reprieve.

I'm also disappointed to see Kieron leave, but we don't know the full circumstances. Dos might tell us more in his next interview.
Kieron was one of our more reliable finishers, and in the last two months scored important goals against D&R and Fylde. He played as a wide midfielder and so wouldn't generally be competing for places with Toure, Williams and Thomas-Asante, all of whom play more centrally. But I appreciate that the arrival of those players may have required a departure to keep us within budget.

Looking at the starting line up against Aldershot I think it is likely that we will try to extend the loan of Brett Williams but let Asante go back to MK Dons.
