TB - if he comes on here again.
Taz was escorted after the final whistle, the ref asked some 15 mins earlier. My point was that the ref has no right to unless he was being threatened - he wasn't & the steward should not have used an arm lock when he did finally feel Taz had over stepped the mark.
SUFC fans may be very verbal but we have no history of violence (just occasional accidental vandalism!).
The ref came out because of the banging on the window & I can't really blame him for doing so. That could have been considered threatening I suppose. However, he probably would have not got the level of the abuse had he not sought a steward in the first place. That was provocative and totally unecessary. The bloke is obviously not up to refereeing at the CS level.

Fair enough mate, didn't see that bit. Was only commenting on what Taz said when I spoke to him on the bar.
Anyway, regarding me coming back on here. You'll never get rid of me!!

Two games spoilt on the trot by bad refereeing decisions, yesterday game did descend and end in a complete farce and we were denied the match we paid for. If the boot was on the other foot and we needed the points to stay up and lost 3-0 in those circumstance it would not only of been Taz who was ejected from the ground. Imagine if that had happened at Newport yesterday we are starting to see not only bad refereeing but potentially dangerous situations arising from it.
I wonder if the ref's themselves have no confidence in their linesman and think they have to make the major decisions in matches. We are seeing very little from the other officials in these decisions?

With regard to your second keeper, everyone off of the pitch thought it was your player that caught the keeper in the face. I have been assured that he didn't by Scarborough. However, they both also said that there was absolutely no intent. Interesting view you must've had and I presume you mean everyone off the pitch at the Thurrock end 'cos from our end it was clearly Akurang - have a look at the photo on from the lane www.from-the-lane.co.uk/Still, if players have confirmed that there was no intent then fair enough but credit must go to our boys for not surrounding the ref on that one as virtually every other team would've done. How often do you see the whole of one side go potty when the keeper takes a knock, in fact I'm disappointed that Scooby and others didn't kick-off!!

The photo doesn't look clear cut to me though. From where I was it looked like your players knee caught him.
One thing the photo shows is that there was no intent. Cliff was facing the other way.

It's not clear cut enough to say that about Akurang then either!
In any event, dangerous play doesn't mean intent. I've already said that if the players confirmed no intent then that is good, the point was that it was clearly Akurang from our end (and the photo) and that different angles obviously make a huge difference to points of view.

I would've thought somebody had asked Alan about it after the game though i suppose saying "cor blimey, look at that" and gawping at his shiner was more the order of the day

The next photo in that series shows that Scarbs' knee didn't get near AJ's head:

Ok I spoke to Alan after the game and he said it was the Thurrock attacker who apologised straight after.
By looking at the last pitch it looks like Alan was caught with back of his heel so no intent and probably not even worth a yellow.

Thing is mate, intent or not, it's a late challenge. AJ has the ball in his arms. Yet the ref didn't even speak to the guy.
I really believe had that challenge been at the other end, we'd have almost certainly have earned a caution, possibly even been down to 9 men.

You know the ref must have been awful when two days after the game no one has yet mentioned TQ's yellow and brown striped hair: Didn't he dye it yellow and brown quarters after coming back from Canvey?

It seems I've missed some incidents recently and now the season is over. Crickey Taz what have you been up to and why didn't TB intervene? I suggest you don't buy him any more beers!!! Seriously though the way the refs have behaved this year against us I reckon next year could be our year. I believe we are heading in the right direction so put some money on us winning the title next year.
