I wish Roarie well at Havant, and in all honesty I don't have any issue with our players going to play for Dos. It should be remembered they are taking a step down, and that our last half season form would have put us in danger of relegation had be not had a decent number of points already in the bag.
The key is who Matt brings in to replace those who have left, they need to be better players its as simple as that. What Dos is good at is 'Spin' he knows how to fire up the troops, and get them pulling all together. H&W club social media is alive with news, the video interviews are flying off the reels, the fans are buzzing despite just being relegated - remember that feeling?

Sutton Uniteds channels are the polar opposite at the moment which is firing up many of our supporters in the opposite direction!

Can't remember which BBC pundit said football had let him down, when it became obvious such a talent was playing at a level well beneath his abilities. A little over two years later, I'm sure the pundits would be shocked to see roarie willingly dropping into the 6th tier. Tough pill to swallow and quite frankly the only party who comes out with any credit here is dos, what a fking signing that is. Roarie will surely tear the south division a new one but I've lost alot of respect for him now sorry to say it.

Roarie is a professional footballer and, within limits, will play for whoever pays him the most. We shouldn’t be surprised to find that Havant can offer him a better deal - I understand their manager is not short of a few bob. Not do I think that Havant will be at level 6 for much longer.

Maybe they are just short of a decent left back!

If they're going to play him at left back then the world's gone truly mad.

It is of course, every player's own decision as to where they choose to ply their trade but it shows a total lack of ambition as far as I'm concerned. He could have easily attracted a L2 club, probably lower half of L1 as well, but chooses to play for a club that'll be visiting the likes of Hungerford Town and Concord Rangers, instead. If he only feels comfortable playing under one manager in the whole wide world, that tells me he's happy to live in a safety bubble and sell himself short. A total lack of hunger. I wish him well, but he's undersold himself.

On his day he is a very good NL player. How often did he perform well away from home?

After his heroics for us in our FA cup exploits, I will always respect what he did for us. I think it's more a case of Roarie having a lack of faith in his own ability. His confidence must be shot to pieces at the moment to contemplate taking such a drop. Psychology plays a bigger part in football than many of us realise.

On his day he is a very good NL player. How often did he perform well away from home? The gap between L2 and the Nat Prem isn't particularly vast and he more than did enough to prove he was a very decent player in the top tier of non-league football. Nat South is (to me) an incredibly unambitious move.

I wouldn’t say it’s an unambitious move by Roarie. It’s clear that, since he left us for Dundee, his career has stalled somewhat and it’s often a good idea to drop down a level to try and rebuild confidence. Yes, money may well have come into it, but it might prove to be just what Roarie needs.

Was Roarie lacking ambition when he came to us either time? Or Eastmond when he came to us. Or Bailey? Players dropping down levels to play for us was fantastic but a player dropping down a level to play for someone else lacks ambition.

Roarie had a lot to prove when he came here, which he did with aplomb. Dundee didn't work out but the man is wasting his talents in the south. If it's not a lack of ambition then I don't know what it is.
Nicky, perhaps yes unambitious and definitely a season or two early dropping out of pro football (much to our benefit of course) and came back to a club close to his heart. Craig, well I'm not sure about that really, maybe maybe not but I assume he has a career outside of football now. Perhaps roarie is looking for part time so he can do something else or some other unknown reason, but I'd much rather have seen him go to an ambitious conference side than drop a level, just seems such a waste of his talent.

I don't think he had anything to prove coming back to us. He just needed to get playing again. It does though seem a retrograde step to go to Havant unless they're planning to do a Salford.
