Heart disease and prostate cancer are no respecter of age, all men should be checked as early as possible once they reach their 20’s at least.
Such a waste of a well liked and adored professional and to his family many commiserations on your loss.

I was with two former work colleagues yesterday both orient st holders. I noted it had all gone quiet on the Justin Edinburgh front and one replied that he is probably dead.
Sadly prophetic. No o's fan but that is quite awful news. Came across as an ok fella and obviously a decent manager too. Very sad for all but especially his family.

Only weeks ago we were abusing him because we disliked his tactics. Brings everything into perspective.

I don't recall any such thing either. On the contrary, the only individual I seem to remember getting any stick after our game vs Orient was Ross Worner.
We all know how it feels to lose a great manager so it must be all the more painful for O's fans in light of the tragic circumstances of their loss. My sympathy goes out to them and Justin's family.

I'm a Gillingham supporter first and foremost and his time at the club didn't end particularly well (top at Christmas, spiralling back down to 9th place by the end of 15/16, unable to stop the slide down to just above the relegation zone the following season, when he was sacked, and constantly saying that even then we were overachieving. Not that any of that matters when put into context, not remotely.
That said, all those I know who met him in person said he was decent, genuine, friendly and approachable. One away game in the Mickey Mouse shield at West Brom (v their U21 side), we only brought about 10 supporters to the game so they were put on the players coach and Justin had a chatted with all of them and thanked them for making the effort, that he appreciated it. Very sad news indeed.

I'm not quite sure what you don't understand. He was in and out of the dugout during the game and they were trying all of the tricks in the book. But as I said that's hardly important. Shankly exaggerated to some extent.

I stand by what I said before. I don't recall anyone on this forum giving Orient's manager any abuse. The fact that you have not provided any evidence in support of your claim speaks volumes.
But as you rightly say, it matters not. He did his best for the club he managed and got them back in the football league where they belong.

Really sad to hear of his passing, at such a young age too puts things into perspective.
