Hi Del Thought the Accrington ticket had been claimed on a previous thread ( By JR ) It had as they advertised that 0381 was the winner. Went to collect my winnings at half time and was told that actually it’s 0318 and they’ve made a mistake. I would think that as it was advertised as 381 that the person with 318 has thrown their ticket away!

That's very unfortunate. Hopefully you get to keep the winnings if unclaimed.

Very often the winning ticket is claimed after the match. We keep the winnings for 4 weeks after it has been drawn, as it can be claimed up to 4 weeks after. The winning ticket number must match the drawn out stub- no exceptions.

Reminds me of a time in the late nineties when I bought a Golden Goal ticket at Dagenham & Redbridge because you could win £50 if the time on your ticket matched the time of the first goal. I was in my teens (plus this was a long time ago) so £50 was a pretty good haul.
Anyway, we went 1-0 up and the time of the goal was announced: "Golden goal, 29 minutes." Well, I happened to have ticket number 29 so I headed for the bar which I was told was where you collected your winnings.
I opened the door and the bloke on the other side glared at me in my full Sutton colours and snapped "you can't come in here, it's members only." I explained about the winning ticket and he narrowed his eyes and went, "what number have you got?" 29, I told him. After a fractional hesitation he went, "Well, the winning number was 30. Bad luck" and shut the door in my face.
Shame there was no Twitter then so I could prove what time was announced... Maybe my memory has embellished that a little over the years but it is how I remember it.

So what would have happened if I had been paid out as that was what was going to happen had Ali found me before the match. 381 was announced last week, it was verified by Robert Oakes yet no one sought to correct the error. I bought a nice jacket on Saturday from my winnings which I will now no longer receive. This has actually cost me quite a bit of money. As you can imagine I’m not very happy at all
