Playing K's twice before the end of November? Are they using the stupid conference fixture system again?

And ending with Billericay Away.
Quick synopsis - Bobbins away boxing day, and Toots at home NYD
Only long away midweek trip so far is Hastings in early sept.

Full list now on official site - given that the Lowestoft trip is on the date of the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup that could soon make a game at Hastings seem like a local midweek trip.

FA Cup 1st rnd or Lowestoft midweek? Decisions, decisions. Still, if LT get that far it wouldn't matter anyway.
We will lose money on the NYD fixture as T&M will not attract as big a gate as Robins - so cheers to the Ryman Lge for that. Also playing K's twice before Christmas (as Andy K states) is a tad odd.
I had a feeling we would get one of the new clubs away as an opener too.

I thought we'd get Bury Town, so I was thinking along the same lines.
Theres seems to be fixtures a bit close to each other - eg Aveley, or too far apart - Billericay in September and then the last game of the season (similar with Hastings and Folkstone)
I maintain that in our relegation season, we played Weston twice before the end of October, and they were on a real run of form, but by the end of the season they ended up just above us - playing them at a different time could have made quite a difference

Oh well, if nothing else, it's one of the Canvey trips out of the way quickly I guess!
K's twice before Xmas is a bit strange though....

Going on holiday in September but looking the list I will only miss two games as there appears to be a blank weekend on September 25th.
Does anybody know why this would be. Is it a cup weekend or something?

The away Hastings game is on the Tuesday, 7 September, not the Monday as originally appeared yesterday.
