JOLLY SCORED A GOAL. Got that Billy? JOLLY SCORED A GOAL (and actually set up Sam Page's first for the club!). Best goal was BWG's first though. A cracker

Good day out. Performance was good overall. 5 subs affected momentum a little in second half but it meant a lot of players got a run out. Glad to see Jolly get his goal (good point well made, Andy K) and I think we are playing some really good stuff at the moment.

Very impressed with what I saw - team is looking sharp, solid at the back and potent going forward. Just a shame that Jolly's effort just after the 3rd hit the post! Good to catch up with everyone there today as well, even though another returnee got all the special attention

I was not there today but good to have you back Gareth. Sounds like another decent performance, I do get the feeling that everyone including me just wants to start the season now. Good to see Jolly off the mark (poor old Billy will have to find something else now) and of course Sam Page too. One thing that is getting to me a bit is our goals to woodwork ratio: We have hit the woodwork 5 times and scored 6 goals in 4 games, all 5 efforts against the woodwork have bounced to safety, none have gone in off the workwood so far (unless any of today's goal did?). At the current rate of 1.25 time per match we shall hit the post or crossbar something like another 70 times before the end of the season, all of which will bounce to safety??? Considering the goal is 24ft long and 8ft high (192 sq ft) compared to 3 x strips of 4 in metal (13.3 sq ft) its quite incredible really. Guess what OS is starting a woodwork count

Due to the poor tourist season in Romania a lot of Counts are taking up woodwork. Of course the first thing they teach their children is 'Never run with a sharpened stick'.

Great to hear that Jolly got off the mark at the fourth attempt ! I'm sure he will get twice as many as Gargan did last season.

......hope you right Taz, then Billy can have a Jolly good time!! Gargantuan in fact. I'm a bit puzzled at some of these comments ! I merely asked after previous games if Jolly had scored. Is this not a fair question ? I also said i've seen him play 6 times without scoring - which i have. This is a factual statement. I was calling for Sutton to sign him halfway through last season and i'm sure he will get the goals that will enable Sutton United to win the league this year.

I think its partly that Billy, and your one man crusade last year to undermine Gargan at every opportunity. You've posted enough this week to show that you are still willing to put down Gargan, even when he's not here
