I get back from Cardiff at 6:20am on the Saturday morning. My day will be obscenely long if I can't get to sleep on the coach! Certainly won't be any sleeping on the train! Anyway, Hammy Hall opens at 7am I think, so just go there, brekkie and curl up under a table. We'll give you a kick when we've finished our pints.

Since I'll be moving to Waltham Abbey I'm going from Waltham Cross. £11 leaving Waltham Cross at 8:37am, getting in to Lowestoft at 12:47. Going to spend the rest of the weekend visiting friends in Norwich. I love the prospect of long-ish distance away games.

I am going to eat my bodyweight in fried breakfast and drink as much Relentless as possible. I'll be fine ;D

And our next two opponents, Margate and Ks drew so have a replay at Kingsmeadow K's won the battle of our next 2 opponents 3-2 on penalties

The last 5 penalties were saved
K's probably deserved the win to be honest. Margate didn't offer much up front, but their keeper made 2 or 3 cracking saves
Shame the game wasn't on Wednesday so we could've taken advantage of both teams' tired legs

Looking forward to your visit to Crown Meadow. We have a good clubhouse for alcoholic drinks (no food in there during matches) a tea bar (tea, coffee, chocolate, fizzy drinks) a burger trailer with sausages and burgers from a good local butcher, and veggieburgers and another tea bar (the original) with burgers and hot dogs, and often home-made lemon meringue or mincemeat tarts. I can't tell you about pubs in the area, as I have 20 miles to drive home after the match. Let's hope the weather is reasonable. Early days yet, but the forecast is suggesting spells of rain with a fresh to strong southeasterly wind. Should keep the ball on the deck!

For real ale drinkers, I can advise that there are four Lowestoft pubs in the new Good Beer Guide. Three are quite close to the football ground (though in different directions!) and within about 15 minutes' walk of the station. The Mariner's Rest (60 Rotterdam Rd, NR32 2HA) is west of the ground, has a "comfortable open-plan interior" and up to six ales on. This may be my first port of call. The Oak Tavern (Crown Street West, NR32 1SQ) is north of the ground and described as a "lively drinkers' pub" with pool and a large-screen TV. The Triangle Tavern (29 St Peters St, NR32 1QA) is east of the ground, and is the tap for the excellent Green Jack brewery. It usually has the full range of GJ beers (including the Orange Wheat that Sal likes and something called Trawler Boys ). I might save this one until after the game. The fourth pub is the Norman Warrior (Fir Lane, NR32 2RB) on the western side of town, but still walkable from the centre. It's a local CAMRA Pub of the Year and (unlike the other three) serves food.

Yes Sal OWB is on but we only do it in pint bottles now , same as the Trawlerboys.
The Triangle is a great Pub and only 10 mins walk from the ground, they brew their own Real Ale there at their Green Jack Micro Brewery
