First surprise of the First Round Proper
FC of Manchester 1 Rochdale 0, I am sure that there will be a few more.

Only Rochdale were at home, and FC Utd of Manchester won 3-2.
I saw it on ESPN. I thought Sutton would have given either of them a good game.

I'd love it if Sutton drew FCUM in the Trophy.

Same here Vern. Especially if it was a Gigg Lane.

Just got in from watching Swindon Supermarine beat Eastwood Town 2-1. A cracking match, real cup tie stuff, some good goals too. But what a result at Maidstone. GREAT! Well done U's ;D

I love the quote from the FCUM manager: "I'm speechless".

FCUM refused to cross picketlines to appear on Football Focus.

...I always enjoy this round of thew FA Cup, it gives the opportunity for teams from the lower leagues to pitch their skills against teams from a so called higher level, and create the occasional shock. Apart from that it gives supporters a great day out.!!! and the club to make a few bob.

Not so much a 'shock' result... but I guess the possibility of AFCW v MKD is what the former has been waiting for since its formation.

From AFC response on Twitter (and their official site), this is most definitely not the case Ed!!

Ab - spot on and Editor totally wrong
For some reason, everyone else wants this tie whilst about 98% of wimbledon fans don't. Yet always, it's reported the other way round. Not helped by Lawrie Sanchez saying same yesterday on the highlites package

Says a lot about AFCD supporters - all those years bitching about "Franchise FC" and when they get the opportunity to put one over them, they don't want to play them!

Most of the fans I know are actually buzzing for it. So I'm speaking from my experience and knowledge of the AFCW fans I know.

The AFC supporters I know to be fair to them don't know how they would react to playing them. Half of me would like to exact revenge, but the other half probably realisitcally realises that is too early for that to happen.
Look on the bright side Ratty, least its a dead cert for TV coverage, and more money in your kitty!
