It's nice that seemingly in an instant we have gone from lacking depth to selection issues, not forgetting that Ro will also be available! Maidstone's report is on their site now: www.twitter.com/maidstoneunited MATCH REPORT: Maidstone United 0-3 Sutton United. j.mp/9AMzYY << for clarity this is not a link to twitter

Same thing....sort of Only thing I'd like to emphasise - Tommy Kav was absolutely IMMENSE today. Deserved his chance to start a game after working hard over the last few weeks with a few appearances off the bench, and my word did he take it!!

If he's fit, yes.Kes is a centre back and its no surprise to hear he played well there. However we need him to play right back this season where he covers well.Thats the versatility of the squad. Selection problems Dos may well have on tuesday but i wouldn't say the depth of the squad has really changed yet.Our new signing will help but we probably need another body.

This was the first game I have missed this season and it seems to be the best we have played so maybe i will have to stay away more often (this would mean more quality time with the other half so maybe not!)
Glad to hear from doublebarrel that we played through midfield more. That was how we played pre season and in the early games and if we are getting the squad fit enough and big enough now and free of suspension, maybe we can carry this style on.

Ahem! If we'd lost, I'd have blamed you Maidstone wear yellow! OS, that ground is ALWAYS freezing. It is the coldest football ground in the world, isn't it, Andy K?

Did you read the report on the game in the NLP? I thought maybe I was at a different game when I read "The opening stages were almost mind-numbingly sterile, though Sutton's Tom Davis was fortunate to escape without a caution when he tangled with Jermaine Darlington". Perhaps the reporter was caught up in the queue for refreshments? However I realised he was actually at a different game when he wrote "A woeful defensive header from Peter Hawkins fell straight to Kavanagh's feet and he drilled the ball past Walker". he clearly didn't make it out of the bar at half-time!
