Its hardly going to be shock news to anybody who doesn't live on the moon, but I saw this on the Hendon website earlier :-
"Club secretary Graham Etchell has just left Vale Farm, and has reported that the pitch and all surrounding areas are currently covered in snow - up to a couple of inches in places. With temperatures not forecast to rise above freezing over the next 36 hours, there seems little likelihood of a thaw taking place in time to allow Saturday's game to go ahead. "
Looks like its xmas shopping this weekend then! (oh joy of joys)

I will be a bit controversial and say that the decision was taken way to early given the small amount of snow in West London and the forecast. The game at Wealdstone goes ahead not a million miles from Wembley? I am not saying ours would have but I bet that pitch is not too far away from being playable and waiting until early this morning to make the decision would not have done any harm?

Still unable to get out of Biggin on the Bump, so would have had to have missed it anyway.

You lightweight Ohhahh, I've managed to drive to White City today to make up for the two days work I missed on Wednesday and Thursday.
It really is like living in another world in Biggin Hill, everywhere else the roads are fine and in White City there is no snow whatsoever but trying to drive around Biggin Hill is treacherous.

We have lost 6 or 7 inches of snow in Redhill overnight and i was thinking the decision was made too early.

Even with the thaw I reckon the pitch could have been waterlogged anyway. But Wealdstone V Aveley is on, and seems to be the only ryman fixture today

Looking at the fixtures, most teams will get a league game in before we play our next one - Horsham will play THREE league games before our Hornchurch game - And Lowestoft host K's that same day
