That was the first game the Salisbury U's have been to this season. I thought we had the chances to win it and with a bit more composure in front of goal in the second half could have gone through. We were too deep 1st half and in fairness Eastleigh could of/should of equalised when one of their guys blasted wide from the centre of the area.
We don't see much of the team so it's difficult to judge progress from last year. I wouldn't say there has been a big leap forward but of course Eastleigh are a league above us so it was bound to be hard going. As others have said we tired badly in the last 20 mins and passess started going astray. Tuesday is cerainly a wnnable game at home and I would have taken a draw at kick off yesterday. Finally, excellent support from the Sutton fans. I'm sure it must boost the team to hear that when they are away and tiring late in a game.

I suspect their captain Tom Jordan will be back on Tuesday night. Joe Jordan's son, all 6ft 5ins of him We will have to pick a side that has cover in front of Darren as Tony Taggart gave him a very uncomfortable afternoon, especially the first half. Let's look on the bright side as I will not have to sit through 90 minutes in front of 2 Eastleigh so called supporters slagging their team off and also calling us pansies and then in the next breath saying Dos must feed us red meat. WTF was all that about? Of course when it went 1-1 they were the best thing since sliced bread. I still have a headache.

The home support was very poor today.I expected more from them and they were put to shame for the whole 90mins by the once again fantastic Sutton Fans! I am sure it helped the team battle through when there some very tired legs out there. Although not good to let in such a late equalizer iam sure many of us would have taken a draw before the game. Well done Dos and the boys and the magnificent fans.Especially those with little or no sleep from the previous nights alcoholic excess! Not mentioing any names(Gareth and Taz) Well in fairness it was an early round cup match to a team in a lower league! Don't remember our crowd being anything special against Alton earlier this year. Croydon fans were also quick to point out how quiet we were there. Just like players supporters 'get up' for some games more than others.

The crowd figure may well have been an estimate but not a very good one! I wouldn't agree that Darren Ebsworth was our man of the match as i thought he got taken apart in the first half.We seemed to give the opposition too much respect and once we got the ball down and played it along the ground we were better.Should be an interesting return match at GGL which we are well capable of winning.

i thought we did'nt do to bad,but we need to cover their wide players to try to prevent crosses coming in .they had done their homework on us as they were putting wide either side wenever they got the chance.same rubbbish officals ,gave every decision to them.

The pre match interview with Rob was classic. He said "We have a good goalkeeper, Paul Scrivens, we got him from Farnborough", he then went on to say "Were 1st in our league, 1 point clear" fantastic, knowing Rob as I do this made me laugh so much.

Just read the Eastleigh forum and plenty of them are not in agreement with the declared attendance!
