Our official mascot has asked me to pass on this message
"Despite the snow, I and my handlers made it to Queen Mary's this morning to hand out presents for the kids and goodies for the staff. A big thanks to my helpers Steve Mc, Kennedy and Clive B who braved the elements and to Taz, JJ and Gareth. (Hope your heating is fixed Gareth and Taz I hope you didn't have to pay too much for your hospital parking - brilliant driving John!)
Love you all"

Jenny was very well-behaved as always!!
Thanks also to Ronayne Marsh-Brown who drove all the way from West London but sensibly went straight home before the visit because of the worsening road conditions
Finally, thanks to Flair Leisure Products for donating the toys

Despite the snowy conditions, Jenny was, as usual, followed by the paparazzi and I am sure pictures will be posted soon, courtesy of Mr Taz, who was on hand to record the event. Jenny was a great hit both with the children and the nurses.

Well done all. Would be good if there's one or two pictures available that Jenny could tweet?

I didn't pay a penny for parking! Just hit the info button on the machine, told the bloke I was from the local rag taking pics at QM and I'd lost my ticket. Just raised the barrier for me. ;D Drive home was hairy, but only thanks to the other morons on the road. Must have swerved to avoid idiots skidding into the kerb about half a dozen times. The Daihatsu really is an absolute beast in the snow. Honsec, this is unlikely as being a good Giraffe, Jenny switched her mobile off whilst on the ward. Pics will be sent out soon. Should be on the website I'd imagine.

The visit was an absolute stonking success and a fantastic credit to our club. Macca, Clive and Kennedy were brilliant and spent ages 'going the extra mile' by talking to the children and their Mums and Dads. I have to say that young Kennedy turned out to be a real diamond on the day and even donned a special apron to go into the high dependency unit. Gina Tomkins, the ward sister has since said to me that she and her staff were completely bowled over by the generosity (thanks again to Flair for the toy donations) but also for Sutton Utd FC players and volunteers to give up their time on what turned out to be a dreadful day. We aslo gave choccies to all the staff to say thank you for their hard work over the year. As has already been mentioned, Jenny was superb resplendent in her Santa hat and one particular young patient, Lizzie, took a real shine to her. We gave out a number of scarves to the parents as well as the children and I think we won a few new fans today. They certainly want copies of the photos when they come out. Well done SUFC.

Brilliant.
That's what SUFC, your local community club, is all about.
Well done to Steve Mc, Clive, Kennedy, John, Tony, Gareth, Taz and anyone else I've omitted. This kind of involvement means so much.
Proud to be a Sutton United supporter.
