Errrrrrrr, Delboy, if you'd been into most of the bars in the Ryman Premier this season , they're using the BBC Red Button Service...................seems, from what I've heard, SKY want to charge clubs around £500 a month..............sheer extortion !!! Well the last two i went in were Horsham YMCA and Canvey Island and they were both showing Sky Sports.I was in Merstham last night and they had it on also.I don't disagree that its a lot of money but perhaps someone brings in a card on match days!

You can't just use your own card at the club, Delboy, it has to be paired with the box by calling Sky. Don't know if the club is aware, but there is no need to buy a Freeview box - they could get a free BBC card for the Sky box, which would give them the Freesat service, which is like Freeview+.

I thought thats what they did abroad in these bars as they don't sell SKY overseas.

Should of gone 2-1 up...would of been harsh on Concord...would of had no arguments Aaargh!! "Should HAVE gone 2-1 up...would HAVE been harsh on Concord...would HAVE had no argument". I do agree that we've been picking up points recently despite not playing well. That's often the mark of a successful team, but there's only so long you can get away with it. The lads must raise the level for next Saturday's trip to Suffolk.

Dos's comments echoes our collective thoughts here - there is a difference between being outplayed through ability rather than the team being poor. And i think we all knew they were VERY poor in the first half. As I wasn't at the Alton game, I can't compare, but Dos saying it was the poorest he's seen over 3 years sums it up.
But again we are still top, regardless of games in hand etc. And its a good position to be in - we have to make sure we stay there
Thank you Dos for the apology - as far as i'm concerned, its accepted. A convincing performance on Saturday would top it too
We need to get ourselves into shape - without negating any teams in our division, the title could be won or lost in February - Cray, Lowestoft, Hornchurch, Tonbridge are all challengers and in form teams. Good results in those will make a HUGE difference to our position

Proud of you, Amber Aleman. Thanks for joining my 'have' campaign! I've given up and moved on to apostrophes. Should I resurrect my own?

It's good to have standards, but I think it's unfair to mock poor English on this forum.

What amuses me is that the standard of English on here is almost Etonian compared to a lot of fora out there. Loads are just packed with text speak and are almost unreadable.

Oh good a thread about the game has been changed to discuss the standard of written English in it. How very boring.

Don't know what you mean Stewart Taken from the Aveley Website - Match Report for the Horsham game on Saturday written by a Colin Munford "Junior Dadson was denied by a fine save from visiting keeper Mark Zawadski, before Dave McCartney done well to hold on to Lee Carey’s effort."

A convincing performance on Saturday would top it too This is something I have noticed a lot from Dos, he can really view the game as a fan. He will often point out where it has gone wrong (if at all) and I often find myself in full agreement. Annoyingly I didn't rush out for the second half so missed most of our good spell, so to me the game may have seemed a lot worse.
