Yes, the ground regulations forbid drums and vuvuzelas specifically.

Unfortunately, the vuvuzela ban appears not to be implemented forcefully enough. Luckily, the main culprint does not appear to be too good at playing the thing so it has eased off lately.
The live music in the clubhouse is mainly rock or blues based stuff so bring a couple of amps and a few fender strats Trawlerboy and you will be OK

Can I make it clear that our ground is in a residential area and drums are specifically banned from being brought into the ground.

I appreciate that the ground is in a residential area but anyone buying a house in GGL must know there is the possibility that there is going to be large amounts of noise emanating from the ground on match days.

Delboy, in this day & age NIMBY's rule. And whilst our lease is still up for negotiation, antagonising the locals ain't wise! Anyway, drums are shite at football. Even more so at this level.

Drums should be banned at every football match. I vividly remember our last trip to Yeovil when their stewards allowed the Yeovil drummer boys to stand at the back of the segregated away stand. The noise was deafening and after much whingeing by me we all got taken in a convoy to the other side of the ground. Also we won 2-1 in a gale but still managed relegation in our first year back.

I'm not suggesting we do but its like these people who buy a property next to an airport and start complaing about the noise and number of flights!

Or moving next to a pub and pissing and moaning about the noise, so much so I couldn't renew our live music liscence.
Not mentioning any ex-Boomtown Rats member. *cough* Gerry Cott *cough*

Delboy, I agree 100%. Surely when you look at a property and spy the ground behind it from one of the upstairs windows, you'd go & do a bit of research. Especially given the size of the places along GGL. They can't be cheap!
Sadly though, in this day & age, any complaints to the council about noise etc is always going to get someone's attention.
