Highlights of the Lowestoft (Home) match are now online here: Apologies for the delay. I have had a few people enquiring as to why I have missed a few matches recently. It's all to do with payment unfortunately. As I am a professional cameraman, I can't afford to film free of charge, so it has got to be worth my while to travel all the way from Edmonton (North London) to cover the games and spend quite a bit of time editing the highlights. Paul Doswell has so far paid out of his own pocket to have the games filmed, but understandably he can't keep doing that when my charge is £120.00 per match...this being my standard fee for providing this service for all Non-League clubs that I film for. For some of the matches, Paul has been able to persuade the opposing Team Manager to share the costs with him...they both then receive an unedited DVD of the whole match. Most opposing Managers are not interested though...hence some recent matches not being filmed. I spoke to Paul yesterday and he says as far as tactical play is concerned, he has learnt enough from the unedited DVD's of the games I have covered so far this season not to warrant paying any more money himself to have the games filmed for that reason, but he appreciates that the You Tube highlights are great for the supporters, and obviously if all remaining Home games (and possibly some Away) can be filmed with the Premier Division Title being won at the end of it, an end-of-season review DVD of all the You Tube highlights would sell fairly well in the club shop I would imagine. The situation at the moment though is that I will not be filming any more SUFC Home games this season as there is nobody to pay for it. Ideally, what it needs is a local company or just the supporters themselves to fund it where I can be paid £120 on the day to guarantee the highlights being edited & uploaded to You Tube. If a company pays for a certain match to be filmed, their logo or even a 5-10 second 'bumper ad' can be inserted at the start of the highlights. At the moment, the company advertising on the back of the dugouts are getting loads of free advertising on You Tube ! Maybe those adverts can be 'swapped around' with other companies if they pay a bit extra for me to film the matches ? I do have a few other clubs wanting me to film their matches, but I would like to be able to continue filming SUFC matches for the rest of the season if I can.

Thanks for all your work this season, its been great to watch, and hopefully someone can step into the breech to get a few more filmed!
Looking at the penalty, firstly what were the two lowestoft defenders doing - pure comedy defending there, and from what I can see, you won't see a clearer red card for a keeper that what Reynolds did to Dundo. They can go on about the offside goal that wasn't all they like, but they were lucky to have their keeper. Very.
And I've just looked at Forbes yellow (just before the goal) - look at the tackle what happened from one of their players as the whistle is blown - that's bloody assault, not a tackle. Did that go unpunished?
Actually although its impossible to be totally sure, I can see why their goal was given offside. From that angle it looks just that way. But then the camera is at the wrong angle to be conclusive
Actually looking at it, their goalscorer was in an offside position when the ball was played over from the left and it bobbled around the 6 yard box before going out to their player on the right!

Thanks for the filming really enjoyed watching them over the course of the season! It would be great if someone did step in!
I think Andy K has hit the nail on the head especially with the ruled out goal. Also it was a very innocuious tackle that Forbes got his yellow for there were certainly a lot worse throughout the game that went unpunished.

Maybe there should be some LT apologies now! The ball travels forward and the picture clearly shows that the player at the far post is well and truely offside.

The club should pay for this. Take it out of the prawn sandwich account the board use.

Having seen the video evidence the ref clearly got the Forbes sending off very wrong. Hadn't realised he had done as little as that. Plain ridiculous. Lowestoft can certainly have no complaints about the decisions going against them!

Laurence, cheers for your work so far this season. Hopefully we can get something sorted out for the remainder. No one certainly expects you to work for free mate!
As for the 'keeper's offence, watch again and look at where the ball goes after the challenge. It goes to the side away from goal straight to a defender. And that's from Dundo's touch, not the 'keeper. Ref has taken the opinion he'd still have had a load to do to score and thus it's not denying a goalscoring opportunity and not a red.
As for Forbes challenge not being a yellow? Eh? From behind and takes the man & not the ball? Forbes himself doesn't even complain FFS.
I completely agree about the second yellow though. That's just f*cking embarrassing. Shame it's a second yellow and thus can't be appealed. Ref should be shot though. Or at the very least sent a copy of the footage to show what a total bellend he looked.
Their 'goal' looks a bloody tight decision. He looks off just before his mate gets the ball to make the pass, but you really can't tell when the ball is played TBH. The flag went up instantly, so I guess he got flagged for perhaps being off initially and as he gained an advantage from it? Dunno! I think Mr F would probably be able to give a slightly more official reffy type opinion on that one.....

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's found the video footage a great additional matchday feature and it would be a shame if this season particularly we won't be able to provide an end-of-season DVD.
Completely thinking off the cuff here but....
With 6 games left, we as supporters would need to find £720 in order to get footage for our remaining 6 home matches. Would anyone be willing to chip in an amount (eg £10? per game) in return for a share (proportional to the amount donated) of the takings that an end of season DVD would bring in? If we sold the DVD at £15 a copy, we would need to sell around 50 to break even. Any monies made after that would go straight to the Supporters Club as profit.
If you're interested - or know a company who would be interested in sponsoring the video footage - drop me a PM on here or an email to garethdmiller@hotmail.com

I agree with Vern on that one. I am shocked that Dos had to pay out of his own pocket after all he makes a lot of personal sacrifices for the benefit of the club as it is. There are many club directors who wouldn't even miss £120.

There are many club directors who wouldn't even miss £120. Shocking statement, firstly how do you know about personal finances of our directors? Secondly they give a lot of time to this club, with no payment. Sorry I think you are very out of order with that statement and very insulting. Dos wanted the games covered and the club would have said they cannot afford it without impacting the playing budget. Dos obviously decided very generously he would pay for it, for which he should be applauded. However it is not for us to say who should now cover it.

Dos obviously decided very generously he would pay for it, for which he should be applauded. However it is not for us to say who should now cover it. Just to clear things up a bit with this one, as Nick The Greek says,it was never the intention for the club/directors to pay for the filming. Dos phoned me himself to book me for filming in the first place for tactical reasons because the media students he had used to film some previous matches free of charge had been unreliable and not up to the task in terms of camerawork. This happens quite a lot in Non-League football nowadays. Filming a match for 90 minutes is not as easy as people think and sometimes it requires a bit more experience and expertise. The highlights I do for You Tube are a bonus. I offer them as part of the deal because it gives my company good publicity and I get spin-off bookings for filming Cup Finals, Youth & Sunday League matches etc. As I said earlier, Dos was hoping opposing Team Managers would part-fund the filming, but as most of them are reluctant to do that, he can no longer afford it. I don't think he is asking the club or the directors to chip in. Sponsorship from companies or the supporters chipping in is definitely the way forward.

Thanks Laurence, you're videos of the game have been top. Hopefully something will be sorted out. As for the comments about the board, these are the people who've kept SUFC going for decades with their financial support as well as giving countless hours to run on the club.
As for the incidents. 1st Forbes card was definite. I thought that at the time, and my view hasn't changed. The 'keeper should of gone, no doubt about it. As for the offside, perhaps the Lino flagged for the 1st instance when the ball initially goes into the box so even when the ball finally goes into the net it wouldn't have counted. But from the picture it looks as though when the 'goal' was scored the Lowestoft players was potentially offside.
All in all the video shows that Lowestoft have a flimsly reason to moan at the officials. TBH if it wasn't for the red card, Lowestoft would never have got back into the game.

Nick, having read your comments and those of others I apologise for my post which was written in haste and on reflection was wrong and unfair. Thanks
