Nick, having read your comments and those of others I apologise for my post which was written in haste and on reflection was wrong and unfair. Thanks All I can say to that is, fair play. It would have been a lot easier to ignore this thread than come back in post that.

I'd be happy to fork out £120 so that Laurence can film our final home game of the season on Easter Monday. I'm sure somebody will remind me who we're playing on that day.

Ok, I've just watched the highlights & first of all what a difference our pitch was from Tuesday night! That rain on Thurs & Fri really changed it for the worse.
Now to the main points from my point of view. Firstly, our pen. No argument it was a pen, so was it a sending-off? Well, the ref should first take into consideration where the offence was, then if the forward had control of the ball & as a result of those two was a goalscoring opportunity denied? Well, that is an emphatic YES. Dundo had only touched it past the 'keeper & if he had stayed upright would have a shooting opportunity as the defender to his left would not have got to the ball first. Forget the guy standing on the line as if the roles had been reversed and the 'keeper was on his line and the defender made the foul then it would have been red. Denying a goalscoring opportunity is what counts.
Now to the offside. The ball was not pulled back from the bye-line it went forward. The angle isn't great and the main concern was if Dundo had played him onside but it looks to me that he hadn't. A tight call but a correct decision.
As for AF's sending off, as I posted earlier, not once did the ref blow his whistle to pull the players back. He only blew it once he decided to give the second yellow. Crass! AF's first yellow was correct as it was tackle from behind but I forgot about the challenge their fellow put in seconds later. That was bad and the ref should have done something about it.
Anyway, that's my take on the incidents and I have tried to do so wearing my ref's hat.
Great video though & far better balanced than anything Bury put together!!

The thing I really don't agree with on the goal scoring opportunity thing is that when you get a penalty a clear goal scoring opportunity has not really been denied. You still have a clear goal scoring opportunity through the penalty. I'd like the rule changed when a pen is given.

Only just watched the video and this is my view, as a Lowestoft supporter.
The penalty was obviously correct and in my view so was the yellow card, as the ball was going to the left which would have meant your player and our defender (Sam Gaughran) both getting to the ball and therefore it's not clear that it would have been a definate scoring chance. That aside i agree with a post above, in that the law should be changed., as you get a penalty and the keeper gets booked. I think a penalty and a sending off for a keeper is too much and effectively ends a game from that point.
As for the sending off for the player celebrating the goal, it's one of the most ludicrious decisions I've ever seen. If he had of jumped in the fans (dangerous) or gone to the away fans (insiting trouble) then yes but that decision was a total joke!
As for the offside, it's very hard to say, as I was on the other side of the pitch from the lino and it looked onside to me and afterwards your keeper and some of your fans agreed. However on looking at the video footage the ball does actually appear to go forward and even though your last defender is close to being level with our goalscorer, it does appear to be fractionally offside but with angles it really is hard to say 100%.
Overall I think you did enough to deserve the win and I wish you all the best for the season and against tonbridge.

Amber Aleman, just to confirm, is that a serious offer? It certainly is! I don't want to tempt fate, but there's a decent chance that the Easter Bank Holiday match will be rather significant in our bid to return to Step 2 of non-League football. Even if it doesn't turn out that way, there should be a big crowd and lively atmosphere on the day. All in all, I reckon it would be worth recording the game for posterity. I've just watched the video of Saturday's match. I can't add much to the debate about the officials' decisions, but have to agree that the decision to show Andy Forbes a second yellow looks ludicrous. What the recording brought out for me was the important contributions that Dundo made at both ends of the pitch.

As said before, great video, just cant believe the sending off decision. AF's very brief contact with the supporters was insignificant and caused no hold up.
Obviously the ref was way out of his depth and could not cope with things.
