Firstly have to say the ground staff did an excellent job on the pitch and to see ours was one of only 3 games to survive shows how much work has been done as in days gone by ours would have been the first game off. I thought we pretty much controlled the game from start to finish with the Stones creating one chance near the end and that wasabout it. The goal they scored was due to rare Scriven mistake (can you believe he is human after all?), not sure what was on his mind, maybe he had a pot of tea brewing We got 5 but in truth it could have been 10, and when conditions deteriorated at the end of the 1st half we looked even stronger, it was Stones players slipping and sliding. Darren Ebsworth's free kick will not be bettered anywhere or at any level. Jolls did both his jobs today, reacted quickly to poach his first from close range then finished his second with confidence that was missing prior to his loan spell. Dundo is fantastic in midfield, he is like a freight train with superb ball control and it don't matter how you chuck it at him. Leroy's engine must have been built by Rolls Royce because he just kept running and every time he touches the ball you sense an opportunity. A mention for TK he fitted in like a glove to that midfield carrying on from where he left off last week at Tonbridge. I thought Maidstone got their tactics completely wrong playing too high up against our pace and were just cut to ribbons time and time again. Maidstone will come plum bottom on that evidence today, but I don't think their squad is that bad so maybe their management has a bit to answer for? MOTM was a close run thing between, Jolls, Leroy and Darren, I give it to Darren as he has had his critics and his performance and goal today was one in the eye for them We are 6 wins away now, can we suck the title in ??

That was the sort of performance that made you think we will be champions. Bossed the game except for a 10 minute spell when we got sloppy and let the Stones pull one back. Jolly back to the player we know; his trademark goal from one yard followed by a classic finish when put through one on one. Superb free kick from Darren, lots of hard work up the right from Leroy and Craig Dundas once again put in a terrific shift up front then did the same back in midfield. Only slight criticism I would have would be for BWG - when you come on as a sub you should be showing more energy than the players who've been getting stuck in for over an hour.
As for the K's mob - you sad b******s comes to mind. I watch many games at the Bobbins, it never occurs to me to support the opposition just because they're playing our rivals. What an embarrassment these K's fans must be to their club.

The 2nd 'double' we've done this season. And in quite emphatic style and to be honest, the scoreline didn't flatter us at all. The first 10 mins was quite even, but after that we played better without the need to really raise our game. Ebsworths free kick was great, Jolly got a well deserved couple, and Leroy scored and set up a nice tap in for Bradley for the the 5th.
A great performance all round today, no MoM from me, as it was pretty hard to pick - could have been Jols, Leroy, Page, Ebs....
They did get a consolation goal, but it was more a defensive cock up by us than a genuine chance. Although Maidstone were poor and showed why they are where they are in the league, I am kind of hoping they pull something out of the bag and stay up - they've had a tough time of it over the last few years, and they are a decent club.
Obviously we are not 10 points clear at the top of the table, although all teams below have at least 2 games in hand. Lowestofts win took them level with Tonbridge now. We've got points in the bad, and they are playing catch up, but its becoming a big ask for them to do it - we're now in that position where if we keep winning, it doesn't matter what the other results are. Today, regardless of opponents or score, was one of the 7 we need to get us the title. 6 more wins will get us to 85 points. We're now on the same number of points we finished the season with 2 years ago.
One final thing - thank you to that wonderful bunch of K's supporters who turned up today to show yet again how lacking in class they are. Thanks for the extra 100 odd quid through the door, and the usual idiot chanting you do. All you did was give us money and made yourself look like the scum you really are. One of many reasons to go up is to avoid utter idiots like you and take part in games with real football supporters, not bitter idiots who can't stand the fact that Sutton are doing a lot better than the team they 'support'
