Good stuff. Special thanks to the Ks fans for swelling our coffers! What exactly do you have to do to get thrown out of the ground ?

Maidstone, wih the exception of my mate Andy Walker, were awful. But you can only beat what is in front of you & the lads did with a great performance. It should have been at least 8 but having squandered a first min penalty, the lads weathered an early dodgy patch to score 5 goals on a heavy pitch. Well done to those responsible for making it playable.
Another strong all round team performance (my fav coment of the moment!) but that is why we are on this run. Wonderful free-kick by Ebs, great to see Jolls doing the business & a brilliant finish by Leroy. For me LG was MoM today but then who cares.
It was great too to put on a good show for our guests today. To be back in the company of the likes of Rains, Pritchard, McKinnon, Joyce(?), Williams and those representing the people who helped this club progress just added to the afternoon.
As for the saddo's from K's, thanks for your financial contribution. How desperate are you for an afternoon's entertainment (i.e. turning up to sing abuse at game that you had no interest in) and what an embarassment you are to a great name in n/l football? I do hope you enjoyed our 5-1 win.

This looked a routine win on paper, but the players still had to do the business on the field of play. In the end it was a more comfortable victory than we might have expected. Maidstone looked a poor side and we scored five without quite needing to hit top gear. The brace from Jolly suggests that his month-long and free-scoring sojourn at Wealdstone was a shrewd move by Dos.
We're now ten points clear, with ten games to go, and if we fail to clinch the title from this position then we'd only have ourselves to blame. Another six wins should do it.

As I said at the time, that was the first football match I've ever been to where there have been 3 sets of supporters! It was bizarre. I don't think the Maidstone lot were terribly impressed!
As for the game, we were pretty good and Maidstone were very poor. I don't want to see them go down as they've had rotten luck in recent years and this could kill them off completely. It was good to see Dos haranguing players even when we were 4-1 up. It's that craving for perfection that has helped us get where we are in the league this season.

Beaney, there 4, as there was a group of Croydon Athletic fans............
Before the game I was somewhat worried that we'd take it to easy today because of the relative league positions. But fortunatly this fear proved to be unfounded as the U's produced a clinical display in difficult conditions to see off Maidstone. Fantastic goal by Ebbsworth, scored from almost the same place as his goal against K's. And it was great to see Jolly get a brace. I was impressed with how Jolly and Leroy linked up today. Bodes well for the future.
10 games left, still a way to go. Sometimes the last mile is the longest. We overcame freaky February, let's now overcome the (Charlie) Ides of March.
Oh, and thanks to the K's fans who contributed to some of players goal bonues' today. Nice one. Did feel sorry for Maidstone fans who were 'hijacked'.
Also it was nice to see all those Sutton legends at the game today. It's great to see SUFC honouring those who made the club great as a potential new golden phase begins.

Great effort from the lads on a difficult pitch but Maidstone were poor. I was wondering why the Maidstone fans hated us so much!!
I was surprised Jolls didn't take the penalty given that he's scoring goals for fun, recently got 3 against Maidstone and Dundas' last penalty against Concord (1 think) was also a poor one.
Where the programmes yesterday. I got to the ground normal time and there weren't any to be seen. In fact I only saw one person with a programme!

One down, six to go! good all round performance against a side who are stuggling at the foot of the table. It would have been too easy to take our foot off the gas in the second half, but the boys stayed focused and got the job done with minimum fuss. Also, we may well have got our wopping cock up of the run in out of the way . A result at Wealdtone would see us in a hugely strong position with 5 winable home games left. Keep it up lads, were getting there.

Let's hope that this result fires up Maidstone and sends them onto an incredible March and April, as their remaining fixtures include Lowestoft twice, Tonbridge and Bury.

Solid performance without being spectacular. Did what we needed to against a struggling side and got the win. Fair play to Maidstone, at least they came & had a bit of a go & not waste time from the 1st minute and stick 10 behind the ball like some sides do.
Belter of a goal from Ebbs for the first & once in front we never looked in trouble. Great to have Jolls back & banging in a couple. The take for his second was that of a striker in form and flowing with confidence. Thanks must got to Wealdstone for getting him going again.
Leroy was superb as well. So much energy. The fifth goal was simply all about his fitness. He'd run down & harried that tired defender about 4-5 times previously and in the end the poor bloke just bobbled a dreadful backpass back towards Walker and Brad was in.
Must keep this tempo going. If we don't slip up, we can't be caught.
As for the K's lot, hahahaha. I really hope you morons went all the way to Hastings, found the game was off & then decided to sack off a perfectly good piss up to come all the way back up to GGL and make yourself look like bellends. Get a f*cking life lads. Seriously.

It may be helpful for many if we had a Darren Ebsworth song. Something along the lines of,
"One B in Ebsworth, there's only one B in Ebsworth"

This comment on the K's forum made me smile
Seriously though, does anyone really care what sutton fans think of us or our club? Personally, I don't. It actually amuses me when they come over to this website to whinge.
At least we don't pay for the privilege of having a dig at our neighbors ;D

Message to any club thinking of coming in for Kevin Scriven. Have a look at the mistake he made yesterday. Unreliable, absolutely not worth luring away from Gander Green Lane. He's not been a vital part of Sutton's promotion push and not the best keeper in the league by a country mile. Don't say I didn't warn you.
