I quote from a letter in last week's NLP Fans' Forum
"I have been going to both Premiership and Non-League football for more than 40 years, but I have never heard such filth as came from the mouths of a group of young Hornchurch fans during their recent game with Aveley.
You always get a bit of swearing and banter between rival fans, but these lads, aged between 10 and 14, were singing obscene songs.
Adult supporters nearby seemed to think it funny and no-one made any attempt to stop them."
Nothing's changed there, then! Always one of the 'joys' of going to Hornchurch. I hope the showers are working.

I read that but I also read another report on the AFCH website saying that these yobs were away supporters from Aveley. BTW SF are you going on Saturday?

I've just read that report too, seems there were 5 "yobs" who were eventually escorted out of the ground, if you watch the video highlights ( what a strike by Martin Tuohy ! ), you can hear the swearing if you have the sound turned right up .

Nomadic U, check the Hornchurch Forum too, there's quite a little thread about that night, seems there was a smoke bomb ( alledgedly ) let off as well, and input is from both clubs not just the Hornchurch angle

There was a group similar to that last year - a bunch of 12/13 year olds who were very rude and sweary, and insisted on going next to where the Sutton supporters were.
Its not right and I do think something should be done about it to show them what is acceptable or not, but to be honest i'd rather had that than a bunch of big hard nutters singing the same in a more agressive fashion.
Everytime I've been to that ground, there's always been an element of these twatty kids

Just back from tonight's Hornchurch game..............NO yobs present, there is a drum so be warned.................good penalty save by Darren Behcet which would have put Hastings ahead.

Really, sod the drums, lets look at what is happening on the pitch - we know that Hornchurch are a big side, who don't score very much, but due to their size more than anything, have a good defensive record and an ok keeper in Bechet (who of course we remember from here)
Sure Dos already has his plan to break down the defence, and expose their weaknesses

Just saw this on the AFCH2005 website;
'Spoke to another fan tonight who suggested as many musical instruments as possible at home to Sutton on Saturday so if you have a tambarine,drum,recorder flute,trumpet or anything that makes a noise bring it along and make as much sodding noise as possible.'
Oh dear. We're going to have a whole primary school orchestra next to us on Saturday. Fans who need instruments to make noise are tinpot.
