Jessy is, I think, the French spelling. Our man was born in France, of course. As you say, Jesse is the usual Anglophone male spelling (as in Jesse James). I think it's a biblical name, isn't it?

Time to stand up to the Sutton United platePaul Doswell has demanded his Sutton United stars stand up to the plate after a slow start to the Vanarama Conference South campaign. Monday’s 3-1 defeat at home to Boreham Wood means United have picked up just four points from four games. The boss admitted his new-look side is yet to gel, with problems at both ends of the pitch and a string of big names falling short of the standards required. Moneybags Margate snap up Sutton United hitman
Sutton United and Jamie Taylor parted company because Margate flashed the cash with an offer Paul Doswell could not refuse. The striker, signed from Lincoln City at the beginning of last season, penned a two-year deal at the Ryman Premier side last week. Taylor scored 14 goals for United last term, but has only found the back of the net once in eight games this season. Doswell said: “Everyone knows Jamie has had a difficult start to the season, and he has had some personal issues to deal with and this move will help him massively. Sutton United to face another FA Cup banana skin at the Lane - Doing it the slippery wayNo sooner have Sutton United disposed of one potential banana skin, they will have to do it again to progress in this season’s FA Cup. Glenn Southam bagged two penalties, and Michael Spillane also scored, as United saw off the challenge of Essex Senior League high fliers FC Romania 3-2 on Saturday to put themselves in the hat for the third qualifying round. Now Paul Doswell’s men have been drawn at home to Burgess Hill Town, currently top of Ryman Division One South, on October 11.
