Think it's quite easy to see what Bromley are doing - after doing so well on what was a modest budget, they've kept most of their squad together and forked out on some good buys - we've obviously received a fee for both Scannell and Slabber, and bearing in mind Slabber was probably one of our highest paid players, but missed so many games through injury, I can see why Dos cashed in, although as a player himself, I liked Slabber but you could see he was carrying that injury pretty much all season. Remember on the first day of the season we didn't even have Scannell, and yet he was such an influence too. The fact that Dos made him club captain too must also imply that work reasons aside, we must have had a good offer from Bromley too.

You only sell a sports car to your rival that does 150mph if you know your new one does 170mph I think Dos really wants to win the league this season (although he might not say it), its interesting the 2 signing made so far both made BBC Sports news: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27548252www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27372767Bromley are a bit like Cliff Barnes thinking he has got one over on JR

However things eventually pan out, I think that Bromley deserve some credit for being so quick out of the blocks. From what I understand, they have increased sponsorship this season, they have 4 x pre-season friendlies arranged against local football league clubs and their season ticket sales are well advanced by virtue of an 'early bird' offer - their season ticket sales being enhanced on the back of excitement about their new signings.

It might have been a fantastic offer, but making close rival stronger is not good business in my book,i'm afraid IN DOS WE TRUST! Dos knows exactly what he is doing, he will only have accepted offers from a team around us if he had better replacements lined up. We fell short of winning the title last season, and teams around us will strengthen and so will we. Like in a game of chess our boss is usually one move ahead, how do you think he made it in business and football in the first place Still waiting for news of the lined up replacement

I wouldn't panic too much - many of our star players last season (Scannell, Spillane, Clough, Brown, John) were not Sutton players at the start of the season but all of them came in and made the side better.

Yep good point Andy and Dos mentioned in the statement on Friday that the spine of the team does look very strong. We'll be there or thereabouts next season no question.

Hi everyone, it is worth mentioning that the manager has been away on holiday for much of the last three weeks.

One of Bromley’s signings is Seb Brown, I got the impression he was not that highly rated? Any views?

According to Dos in the Guardian this week - Bromley's third and final offer for Slabber as Scannell was a five-figure fee so understandably couldn't be turned down.
