This is ridiculous. So everything appears to be the fault of the Conference and the FA and nobody at Salisbury is to blame at all, for anything, ever!!
While losing the income of a first Saturday home league game will be a bitter pill to take, I cant help feeling that in the long run, we will all be better off without this lot (and the other Salisbury set up too).

Ref-Salisbury City FC/Club Update. How to win friends and influence people! That's what happens when you employ an angry, illiterate 5-yr old to write your press releases.

What idiots sell a club to a complete lunatic, gives him access to their funds, lets him take money out but not put any in. Then blame the league for the situation? The fit and proper test surely applies to the board of the club itself before handing the reigns over to anyone.
What has happened to Salisbury is simply a result of a club who were greedy and were not prepared to cut their spending before the crap hit the fan and when it did they went running desperately to anyone who promised them a way out.

Having read the latest ridiculous rant from 'the Salisbury innocent' I agree with Mark that the league is better off without them. Any chance of a home friendly with the alternaive Hereford United on 16th? Might help limit the impact of the loss of a home league game. Just a thought.

A classic line from the Salisbury City rant:
"It is about time that these people were held accountable for their actions. Who the hell do they think they are?"
Unfortunately, they are referring to the Conference, not the bunch of muppets who got the club into this situation.
Just for the record, they still have not fulfilled the financial requirements laid down by the Conference and there is still on-going legal action regarding who actually owns the club. And yet they still think their problems are the fault of the Conference and the FA.

That's a fair point Tony - my main criticism of the Bananarama Conference is that if they'd dealt with this very obvious shambles right from the off we would have a full quota of teams in the league rather than delaying to leave the door open for a bunch of fraudsters and fantasists who were clearly never going to get their house in order.

The FA was left with no option. Salisbury's resulting response will do them no favours either. The Conference expelled them; they had the right of appeal but they failed to take full ownership of the club legally within the timescale required.
A mess and while I have some sympathy for the Salisbury faithful, I didn't here them complaining about those in charge (who then put the club in hock by doing so it would appear) when they won promotion.
Stability is the key not a fast fix and then it all goes terribly wrong.

It gets better and better (or worse and worse depending on how you look at it) as the MP has now decided that the government needs to intervene ! www.westerndailypress.co.uk/MP-brands-club-owner-charlatan/story-22127672-detail/story.htmlApparently, the people who gave the club away were too reliant on the football authorities and their 'fit and proper person' test. Seems to me that they should have done a bit of digging themselves first as it was their club and not relied on others to tell them that they had buggered it all up.

Stability is the key not a fast fix and then it all goes terribly wrong. That could be applied to Histon, Lewes, Weymouth, St Albans, Rushden, Farnborough and probably in the future to Whitehawk, Eastleigh, Crawley...
