My brother is a cabby and he said that hes been told by another cabby that we are trying to sign Joe Healey from Welling Just seen that he's left Welling this week - I wonder if Dos is sniffing round him so to speak and possibly inviting him along to pre-season..

Wow. This is big for us. We've got a player who will probably be playing at 2 levels below his ability. I believe Dos when he says about keeping to a strict budget, and although he won't be cheap it will be a testimony to Dos to persuade someone who, although out of favour last season, could easily be signed by a National club. We've now got the two main strikers who won the title with Eastleigh plus a scorer for fun at Salisbury.
Dos implied he will go for a 2 up front line up, with 3 possibly 4 players vying for a place (I can't see Dundo being anything but an emergency striker, I feel now hes more suited for midfield now) we've got scope and now wingers too.
Our odds to win the league have just dropped significantly, and it's a real statement of intent.
Wow

That's a coup of a signing for us and one I didn't see coming at all. We have certainly added a lot more goals to the side compared to last season with the signings of Stearn, McCallister and now Fleetwood. Really looking forward to the season ahead.
Shame for Medlock - who I think will be on his way - hasn't really worked for him here, seems like he has offers from other clubs though. Glad Salama could be given a chance through pre-season, though I admit I've never seen him live his name is always popping up on the scoresheet for the reserves so obviously knows where the goal is.

What an exciting signing. And a massive statement of intent.

This is hopefully going to be a real signing to remember, highly rated player with a passion to play in his position of choice and it will be interesting to see the competition between Fleetwood and Fitchett. On paper at least (why is it never as simple as that?) lack of goals won't be a problem anymore.

♫ We will arise, we will control Attack, attack, attack, attack ♫
With Fleetwood and McAllister up front it's crying out for Yellow Pearl as the pre-match music!
I must say, Dos couldn't have done much better with the recruitment this summer. It's now a case of getting them to gel during pre-season and hopefully we can hit the ground running (for a change).

Well said on all counts. Our PSFs are vitally important now. Forget the significance of the Palace and Jersey games, and of course our yearly visit to Winchester. Rovers, Welling and Bromley are really the ones that count. Proper tests for this proper side. If these players can hold their own there against sides 1 and 2 steps above us, then we're WELL on the way!
